The Everett car bumper snowballs are still in great shape at this temp!
Oh and if you listened to my short video I posted of the coyote talking this morning, my neighbor sent me this video right afterwards and said it was looking down at our property while talking.I have those guys howling and yipping all the time. I put in some real powerful floodlights I can control with my phone. If they are close I flip them on and they take off usually.

We got the heat lamp plugged in our hummingbird feeder this morning. They were buzzing around us when we did it all excited.
I have light bulbs next to the feeders. I take them in at night and put them back at daylight and those guys are thrilled to see them.

Getting some kind of precip now. Grauple I believe or snow pellets. Rapidly covering the ground. Hopefully I’ll have a white covering of some kind before it dries up here

My radar shows the arctic front as a stationary front. It is seeming to be hung up at the border. The front is moving quickly down through eastern Washington for sure.

Currently 34.1 dry degrees out. It’s crazy how much sleep I have lost during the last two weeks waiting for this day to finally come…
Dry.Bare ground going into this whole thing…Will be bare ground coming out of this thing…Unbelievable.
Pretend you are in Saskatchewan out in the prairie somewhere where often the arctic blasts come through with no snow. The ground is brown and dusty, the grass lays down with the wind and the cold is relentless.

This thing has worn me out. A complete numbing of my brain. Congratulations Oregon! You deserve whatever you get. I'll just try to enjoy keeping the hummingbirds alive while savoring all the wintry photos that our southern members will be posting.

I haven't even been looking at the upper levels but moderation has been the theme today.
The 0Z NAM is colder than the 18Z at the surface anyway

18Z EPS snowfall mean for Saturday on top... 00Z run last night for comparison on bottom.
The 18Z is a little further south!

It was/is, but not much and it then scours it out pretty quickly. Fun pretty much over for the rest of January.
Only through January?

Models are always too quick to scour out the cold air.
Thats almost become a cliche but it sure makes us feel better anyway

Big overrunning event on Wednesday looks to be all rain for western Washington per the GFS. I have to believe it will start out as snow in many places. Crazy GFS is usually calling for snow in all marginal cases but not this time

Somebody called this exact track like 2-3 days ago when everything was diverging…can’t remember who lol, but kudos if it hits
That was Snowmizer I think. A hundred miles north of there would be nicer.

Not absolute just a minor bummer. There will be more chances for snow next winter

It is. But it's not dry up north either.
Yeah Everett showing 0.9" total snow prior with the passage of the arctic front. Zip after that. Better than nothing

18 degrees out there now, might end up being the high for the day. I'm staring out my window looking at the 18 degrees, it doesn't look any different than 50 degrees, but for some reason I like it more. I can't grab the 18 degrees or move some of it around. It just sits there and does nothing! I can't put my finger on why I like it more than 50 degrees. I do like the 18 degrees but now its 19 and I don't like it as much.
