Drizzling here, very gloomy, like a gray wet diaper draped over the sky. 46 after a low of 41, .29 in the bucket today so far and 1.65 for the month.

I think Herbstreit is in love with the Huskies. And has been since College Game Day in Seattle back in October. I don't get a sense of the Huskies being dismissed on ESPN... but obviously that is quite subjective.
Yeah, normally I do sense a good bit of respect for the Huskies from the individual commentors and especially Herbstreit. This particular broadcast just seemed to slight the Huskies but on to more important things.

I just re-watched and the interview with Sark was just about the same length as the interview with DeBoer. I also thought the questions were similar. You might be trying to manufacture disrespect... hopefully the team can do that as well.
Haha I guess you are right if you measured the response. Coach Harbaugh had to be longer I think. They did not spend as much time on the Huskies though overall. I will try to be less biased in my future comments. I don't see where I was trying to manufacture disrespect though. Disrespect for ESPN? They are the CNN of the sports world. You gotta respect that.

I just held my nose and watched the ESPN broadcast for the past hour. They barely talked about Washington at all compared to the other three teams. Coach Deboer was interviewed for about 4 minutes compared to over 10 for the other three coaches. The discussions were little more than nuanced dribble but it was obvious that the UW, regardless of their #2 ranking is not worthy of equal consideration for some reason.

Had .5 today to add to my .10 total. While I was measuring the snow I got a call from a paramedic and my wife who spun out due to some ice or snow on Alpowa Summit although the road was clear when I drove out there. They went right around the time that late morning/early PM band went right throug SE WA and slammed into a car and the rail. Her and my MIl are in the hospital in Lewiston tonight. I'm home with my son who is thrilled that I'm letting him play SIMS tonight. MIL has a severed spinal cord and paralyzed and is being flown to Boise. My wife may get flown elsewhere with ankle and bone injuries. She has it rough but better.
On a weather note the winds are picking up before tomorrow's windstorm and the snow has become rain.
I just saw your post and want to express my sympathy to you and your family. I will pray for a quick recovery for your wife and MiL and for you to have some peace amid this unfortunate event.

I looked it up and it's correct. No idea why it would be so large other than Oregon is desperate for an identity. The fan base is basically the population of Oregon.
Wow. Surprising! Thanks for checking

They actually survey the size of fan bases for marketing purposes. Oregons is like the sixth largest in the nation and almost twice as big as the 2nd biggest on the west coast which is USC. It’s up there with Texas and Ohio State.
That is very hard to believe. Please post the survey, there has got to be caveat in there you haven't mentioned.

I suspect the Ducks will have the Huskies under control well before halftime. The Huskies will have no answer for the short passing game coupled with the crazy yards after catch ability the Oregon receivers present. I expect the Ducks to have at least a two touchdown lead at halftime. Ducks 41 to 20
Looks like I picked one side of the score so far.

Terrible play calling by the Huskies.

Again... refs handing opponent touchdowns. It’s just so frustrating,.
Potentially a game changing bogus call. I have to admit the Dawgs are showing up for this game

Only got down to 37 for a low, currently 38 with light rain at times. I'm expecting our front yard to become a swamp over the next few days.

41/31 today. After recounting it’s my 24th freeze. Very light rain and 38 degrees.

Up to 31 after being as low as 30 tonight. Some very light frozen stuff sprinkling out there. Likely won’t need my tire chains tonight but it’s a start.

Pretty chilly day with a 35/22 spread. Hoping to hold onto a freezing temp until after midnight. Currently 32.4 and cloudy

Had a low of 22 for the coldest reading this fall. Also the 22nd freeze. Cloudy now and 33. Wow, a lot of double numbers today.

Would suck if they don't make it, but I'll take solace in the there at least being one Pac 12 team making the playoff.
If Alabama, FSU and Texas win Oregon could still be out if they beat the Huskies in a close game. It probably won't be close at all though.

The ground in shaded spots is frozen like a rock still. I can break through though when I shift all my weight onto one foot. Makes a satisfying crunch.
I just broke through a few places on my driveway. My crunches were not satisfying however. Had a high of 40 (actually 39.9) after a low of 23. Currently 34 and going downward but I don't think it's going to get as cold here tonight with the satellite run showing high clouds on the increase.

23 this morning for the coldest so far this season. In my opinion, periods of fake cold are much more enjoyable than the usual slugfest of endless clouds and temps in the 40's. No comparison.

Down to 28 already. Looks like this could be the coldest night yet.

41/25 here. I was pretty surprised to see the fall in max temps today. The Kent / Auburn Valley was socked in all day so I expect a lot more fog to end the cold snap here.
I had exactly the same high and low here today. Currently 34. Working on freeze #21

Had a low of 25 here, Arlington came in at 23 and KSEA at 28. Pretty unusual for Seattle to be within 5 degrees of Arlington on clear nights. Usually its 10 to 14 degrees lower here if there is any kind of easterly wind influence at KSEA. Nice to see KSEA rack up some freezes.

I bet Phil Knight is rolling over in his purple Porsche over that matchup.
