  1. Hood canal snowstorm... There is almost never an event where Hood canal doesn't score.
  2. This would be all day light rain if it was warmer by 20 degrees.
  3. too far south to be a serious contender
  4. It sometimes does and sometimes doesn't.
  5. Didn't know PBR & Coors was brewed by the same company. That would explain things.
  6. Well the last update... PDX scores bigtime in round 2 as well.
  7. 00z GFS second low is looking strong and on track to go reasonably far south.
  8. http://mag.ncep.noaa.gov/NCOMAGWEB/appcontroller/data/gfs/18/gfs_namer_096_850_temp_mslp_precip.gif Not sure if this is really good or really bad.
  9. just go with good 30-35 rain/snow mix for everyday.
  10. WRF is a mesoscale model, you can't trust it when it shifts the whole storm by 200 miles.
  11. The mesoscale models are not designed to deal with this kind of stuff.
  12. GEM is going even further south, Saturday would be a non event for Seattle.
  13. need to find a map so i can follow the link... edit: http://weather.gc.ca/data/model_forecast/colour_images/00_054_G1_north@america@zoomout_I_4PAN_CLASSIC@012_096.jpg and Saturday(close enough). http://weather.gc.ca/data/model_forecast/colour_images/00_054_G1_north@america@zoomout_I_4PAN_CLASSIC@012_120.jpg
  14. The GEM solution from last night? Two lows both south of Portland xD
  15. get the popcorn ready for the 12z runs!
  16. The first storm is within the skill range... So I don't think GFS is completely on crack, especially since Euro solution changed quite a bit too.
  17. What about the GEM with it's epic Portland special? Seems like it's a compromise between the two models in a convoluted way.
  18. I think bars close at 2 am, right? Should move that up to 3 or 4 am, we'll assume most of the posters are responsible and taking public transit that runs once during owl hours or a taxi.
  19. It seems like it to me, unless there is another low in a missing frame that goes a lot further north than central Oregon coast. Btw if you live in Pyuallup and low tracks to your south you can still get a bit of nothing/rain thanks to SE downslope winds when everyone else is getting snow. I'm sure there is an uninhabited location like that in Willamette valley too.
