  5. 39* Federal Way Currently at my parents place in SE Portland with some nice gusty east winds blowing at times. Had awesome celebration of life service yesterday for Dad and nice weather as well! The most emotional part was at Willamette National Cemetery where he had the Three volley solute with Taps playing. Navel personal handed over the flag to my Mom....such a powerful moment and emotions flowed. I so much wanted to thank the two gentlemen who who did the 13 folds of our Flag but they disappeared just as hero’s do.
  6. Beautiful and exhilarating!!! On another note one of my neighbors was from that area and never wants to see those conditions again

  10. I like my new iPhone!!! Downloaded altitude app while sitting up on mountain near my daughters place. Found out I was at 583 feet and it was 37* Daughter place 282 feet and 39* My windstorm damage drive turned into a snow desire drive At least I know now I can take a five minute drive and be in snow if I need during foothill events down here. Not a lot of storm damage in this area
  11. Bull mountain,Tigard wet snow falling and 38*, think I will sit here a moment and enjoy Not seeing to much tree damage from winds at least on main road
  12. Wow! Been checking my nest cams all night. Power remains on at my place in Federal Way. Unsure if fence is still standing though. Tigard house is online too. Will be curious to how things look at daybreak. I sure can feel all the excitement in everyone’s post tonight and storm chasing dining Fred....following the storm up the corridor...whoohooo!
  13. Ouch again Gusty outside here on the NW side of Bull Mountain in Tigard....I’m thinking around 35 mph. No flickering lights ....and as I write that light flickering.
  14. Sometimes I’m too dramatic with talking about storms with my family . Wife is currently filling every jug with water and hot thermos bottles with hot water. Unsure of her intentions If we get an earthquake during the windstorm we’re good on water here
