    Models nailed that deformation band setup. Looks like north of Vancouver is the sweet spot. Not expecting much here other than some showers hopefully.

    It’s funny, with these winds I care a lot less that it’s sleet rather than snow - we don’t get much even accumulation either way. Just such an exciting experience

    Temp is holding steady at 10 with steady 15-20 winds and 30+mph gusts. Sleet snow mix. Models seem to have done really well so far. I’d guess maybe 3 inches of accumulated precip? Some of the drifts are near a foot now.

    Yeah, heavy precip was modeled for this afternoon, but we’ll see. We have drifts 6-12 inches high but really hard to tell overall snowfall so far

    Certainly the most memorable storm I’ve had in my life. I feel for all the folks without power right now, must be miserable. This is truly dangerous for those stuck outside.

    Down to 10.9 now, windchills well below zero. Just went out and drifts are a few inches deep. Snow just blowing sideways.

    Temp dropped 2 degrees to 12 in the last 20 minutes. Looks like we’re wetbulbing as dew point is rising again. I wonder if that’ll be enough to kick the mid layers back below freezing? Dewpoint is 6

    Honestly with the way the wind is blowing up here it’s a bit academic. We’re gonna have massive drifts and bare ground no matter what falls from the sky, and the snow is so dry it won’t compact into anything. A good day to stay inside!

    Holy moly, hit 13 last night, sitting at 14 right now with 20 mph winds and light snow falling. A -2 windchill at some point last night. Just astounded. 600’ in SW hills. Exciting day ahead!
