  1. That is actually a better path if you want it to stay cold/cooler longer. Also, Better than the rain to snow deluge that would turn into if it hit you directly. As it would result in a rapid warm up and any snow you did get would be gone or unusable/playable in less than 12 hours (if not sooner). NOW, with that being said, I highly doubt it will go that far south as I do think a mid-Oregon path will be about as far south as this goes. These babies almost always veer north (key here is almost always). If this is the case you will get your wish of a snow to rain transition. Enjoy and get out fast to play in it as it won't last long. Then we go warmer and hope for a reload of cold. The good news is we look to have a bunch of sunny cold days to go play in.
  2. I would have been fine with that! I am just irked when we get this great cold and all we get is a sloppy mess transition... It seems like such a waste of cold. I am of the mind that let's get some snow we can actually enjoy for a day or to if not longer.
  3. I agree with Tim in some degree that if we get STRONG enough SW flow we scour out really fast in the major Puget Sound area. Not positive it will play out this way. Ideally we need that low to track south. Right now it is just to far out to personally worry about. I have already shared my feelings on a snow to rain transition. I am not a fan. BUT at least as it is today there is still a chance that, that does not happen. --- "We shall see."
  4. The further south that overrunning can go the better. Better chance for us to stay colder longer.
  5. Yep... Without snow that actually sticks around this cold means squat... It is nice for the record books but in the end nobody really remembers it. A quick snow too rain transition is pure mess and useless. A good snow that sticks around a few days is what we all want...
  6. That is surely something to be watching. These generally like to steer north as they strengthen and get closer. Maybe we will get lucky... gonna be fun next couple of days to see how things setup.
  7. If must be caused from the Nintendo user.
  8. I will take the cold being watered down if it means snow. I think it would be a good trade off.
  9. Cool little forecasting app/tool for the computer. Check it out in action. That is just letting it run a time loop showing temp and precip type but it does much more. Very cool app for the PC!
  10. I am thinking of us Puget sounders... To far out to worry about but nice to see an attempt for some white stuff. We shall see...
  11. Nah just a little infatuated... but not sure with what yet.
  12. No snow storm initially as it veers north but a little later on we might get hit around hour 288 lol...! Nice... That initial push warms us up but we rebound a little
  13. Looks like things want to start breaking down around hour 180 with a nice undercutting system. I am only out to 192 but depending on where that tracks it could be epic or just wet.
  14. Stop!! You're scaring me... I am not sure if I should be amazed or bewildered.
  15. Yeah and plows will be out to clear the way after the flurry storm. Or is that a flake storm? Hmmmmm How many flakes do you need to make a flurry? Inquiring minds want to know.
  16. If we could get a nice little low to spin up off Vancouver island and track south east down the coast then we could get a little action here.
  17. What!!?? Damit! I am always getting that confused... *puts the cigarettes away*
  18. Not much... we are just smoking cigarettes and eating pizza because the models are FRICKEN AWESOME! for cold>>>>> Dude where ya been!? --- Honestly, they are cold but snowless for the puget sound. The Potential is still out there for a few flakes though. OR are we smoking pizza and eating cigarettes?Crap!--- I always get those two confused.
  19. Yeah, I honestly am going to be a little pissed if we get this cold and have no snow or just a snow to rain transition, as both options suck!
  20. Yeah, I was noticing that also... Quite impressive!!
  21. Honestly though, This is super exciting cold wise but will not be complete for many without snow.
