Rain seems to be letting up now around Puget sound. Looks like the high temp for the day will be 53 degrees. Still more rain to go but 0.32” on the day so far. Nearly doubles the monthly total here, much needed.

definitely. I think another wet pattern is potentially coming after this dry period so it may wipe out the difference of drier conditions to the south. We will just have to see how it’ll play out but it has been interesting the line of dry to wetter areas this month.

Seems like your area has done better than the rest of the Western Washington lowlands. Overall it’s been another relatively dry may for most of the area. I know certain areas north of Seattle had a day with decent rainfall while most of us missed out.

0.29” here on the day. Still will finish below an inch here as well on the month. The past few mays have been drier and warmer this last decade more so than usual definitely.

Down to 50 degrees with a good soaking rain coming down. Up to 0.18” of rain so far which will definitely go down as the wettest day of the month. Nice to have some decent rain coming down for the first time in awhile here.

Was only a little more than 2 months ago it was snowing up there. I was up in the San Juan’s in early March while there was still snow on the ground seems like awhile ago now.

Well after tomorrow there should be a decent stretch of nice weather. Will be interesting to see if a wetter stretch of weather follows in early-mid June or not. Either way sun and upper 60s to mid 70s should make everyone happy hopefully. I’m certainly going to enjoy it better than 85+ degree heat.

Now that I complain about the clouds there’s actually some blue skies popping out.

Yeah id much rather it be sunny than overcast and drizzly. Cloudy days or days with constant non-meaningful rain suck.

He was the first to say there was going to be a strong jet extension. However it was just pointed in the wrong place. He was right about it being strong, California has had some exceptional rain totals. Just didn’t amount to much up in the northwest. The sierras have exceptional snow many places are going to have great skiing conditions for awhile.

Some good news is that currently this is the lowest coverage of drought conditions across the entire United States in the last 20 years apparently. However western Washington has been one of the driest spots in the country. Interesting how the evergreen state is drier than many places this year.

Gloomy day today so far high of 57. No rain has fallen just some drizzle this morning. Should be some rain tomorrow though. Gfs shows about 0.05” of rain tomorrow afternoon and about 0.15” over the next 10 days here. Shows most places getting 0.10-0.40” of rain in Western WA and OR during the same period. Could be another year that June is wetter than May this year.

Yeah it wasn’t really a big deal missing out. We had another 1.5” of snow in March too. Was a legendary winter already without the extra foot of snow.

I was kind of disappointed when that one went south at first instead of hitting us but now that I think about it probably wouldn’t have been good. We still had a little snow on the ground here but many other areas still had deep snow away from the sound. Plus the Oregon posters were able to get in on the craziness.

Only 54 degrees as of 12:30pm. Has done light drizzle on and off but not enough to even make the ground wet.

the models have been a bit inconsistent (all of them in general) with forecasting this weekend. Feels like late February again when we were waiting to see if Oregon or Washington was going to get pounded with snow and it ended up being Eugene.
