How much does port angles average per year for snow?

Trend of gradients/satellite/echoes offshore would hint that models are too far N with heavy SN tnght. But it is looking N of Seattle (maybe S Snohomish county is on far S edge). @NWSSeattle forecast looks like best bet at this point. I don't see how almost all guidance would be too north with that feature.  But we'll see.

What are the odds this comes In a little south❄❄

HRRR now showing 2 to 3 inches for tonight here, in HRRR I trust.

Snow is not melting off too quickly today, hopefully we can get to 4 to 6 inches on the ground by tomorrow.

Picked up another half inch this morning so up to 2.5 for the day.

Where can I find this?

Higher resolution WRF showed decent snow SE of Seattle. Doesn’t completely leave King County out of the fun

WRF gives Puget Sound a big storm as well-- gives Portland zilch though.

Going to be a sleepless night for the south sound if this doesn’t come together

Alright all you South Sound, waiting-up-for-snow-that-never-came-so-now-im-sleep-deprived folks (looking at you luvssnow, jgin, tacomawx), let's not count our chickens before they hatch!

 

This is a pretty new development. Can go either way. Very encouraging signs, but we won't know until we know. Should become more apparent one way or the other by 7PM. If by then things are looking good, then count all the d*mn chickens!

Convergence zone in the south Sound?

North winds all the way from Bellingham to Seatle now.  Very good.

How far do you think this convergence zone will make it down?

It almost appears that big blob of moisture north of the c-zone will push down the Puget Sound basin later in the night.  Could be a really snowy night for a pretty good swath.

Definitely having resignations about Los Angeles. I'm also applying to Indiana Univ. at Bloomington fwiw, so we'll see how that one goes. I don't plan to pursue meteorology though-- planning to major in business and minor in psych.
