  1. I'd be freezing and breaking icicles off my eyebrows. I keep the house around 73* in the summer, but will lower it to 70* in the winter. It's that thin Texas blood I guess from living in the warmer weather longer.
  2. DFW has a 2:30 High of 79*. That's been our Low for a long time. 54* for a Low tonight. While we can see temps in the 90's for a bit longer, I think we are officially in Autumn. Thank heaven....I'm so tired of the hot and dry. Now if we can just get some rain.
  3. A lovely, clear 54* this morning. High of 74*. I may spend much of the day on the patio just soaking it in. This weather always makes me feel alive and creative. Makes me want to start this next book. I'm hoping we get some rain soon now. We need it.
  4. The rain was hit or miss here in North Texas. I was a miss, but it was nice to hear thunder and enjoy the cooler breeze. On our way down to 72* tonight. A low of 54* tommorow night after anhigh of 79*. Sounds like heaven.
  5. So glad for you. It's on my doorstep right now. Thunderstorms to my NW. I may not see rain, but they have a nice outflow boundary and will blow in in an hour or less. Isolated strong rain cells. And temps....temps! Will dip tonight to 59*. Am I dreaming? Temps tomorrow 79* with a low of 54*. Too good to be true.
  6. We’ll see rain tonight and 73* tomorrow and 78* Tuesday. Fri and Sat we’re actually forecast for the 60’s. Everyone here is so ready to cool off. This summer is weeks longer than it should have been.
  7. One more hot day! 96* then front moves through tonight with some showers and high in the 80's.
  8. 93* today. 96* tomorrow 78*. Monday. Man, am I ready for Monday!
  9. Low Sunday night - 64*. Light rain pm High Monday - 77*. Low - 56*. Talk about stoked.........LOL
  10. Wow, Tom, you early-bird! Followed up by a close 2nd by snowstorm83 ! Everyone is excited about the coming cool weather. I'm no exception. We'll have low 90's until Sunday when a front finally lopes into way into Texas. Sunday we'll see light showers and temps in the 80's. The week will give us a mix of high 70's and 80's and I am so stoked ! Texans are ready for a break from the heat. We even see some scattered showers. Hello Fall!
  11. Change is on our horizon despite the 95* out there. A long range forecast I was checking earlier actually has us in high 70's two weeks out. Some rain on the horizon as well. It looks like summer is giving us its last gasps and I'll be able to walk around my own yard without nearly fainting after 10 minutes. I'm ready. Bring on the cool.
  12. Well, ants trying to come in. Must be a sign.
  13. Can I quote you on that? We really need it.
  14. Two more days of 96* heat and then we are promised a high 80's. By Monday we may see a high of 79*! With light rain. We're all ready for the change. It's been a long dry August-September and I'm done for the year on this. With luck it will wash a lot of the allergens out of the atmosphere.
  15. On Monday three of those quakes center near Snyder south of the Panhandle. The largest being 4.0. One centered south of Ft. Worth at 3.2. I didn't feel it. These occurred off of the Balcones Fault that runs southwest to northeast. Most geologists say that Texas can not create a quake beyond 4.0 but it is debated.
  16. Yeah, were finishing up September with a record warm and dry. Everyone looks at the sky like "why me?"
  17. So are you thinking it will dip south into Texas? Or just up on Okla/Kan border? I'm concerned Texas I'll have a dry winter and that's rough on us.
  18. Finishing September in Texas with the hottest September EVER. Also rain total......
  19. That's a little too chilly in the house for this thin blooded Texan! But I'm so glad to see the heat break. I thought we would see an early Fall and more rain this late summer, but woah, missed that bus!
  20. We'll have a High of 96* on this last day of September. October begins with a High forecast of 97*. Ugh. Our first cool front won't make it until next Sunday. We should see 89* this coming Sunday, then wake to low 60's! Several days in the low 80's with low 60's morning. Rain in the forecast as well. Bring it, Baby! Bring - it - on !!
  21. Yeah, Southcentral US was Stinkville this year.
