  2. It can, the more leaved they are the more surface area for ice to build up. A lot of trees around the area are still fully leaved, I would expect quite a bit of tree damage in the coming days.
  3. Oh, I DO and I'm not looking forward to it at all. Any accretion over .20" really exacerbates any already existing "issues". Roads, trees, power infrastructure are F****ED if these amounts come to pass. Anyone who thinks they'll be able to do anything is in store for a reality check. Don't even think about trying to get over the passes. Ice does not discriminate.
  4. Is there a weak meso-low in the western strait? Would explain some of the higher based CU east of there.
  5. We're they related to Jim "Stormin' Foreman (formerly of King5)?
  6. IIRC UW/Atmo-sci radar uses a full 1.0° tilt and is likely picking up mid levels. 0.5°/T shows very little, even up near the strait. The darker, more widespread pixels are more than likely clutter or surface based noise.
  7. If only the GFS had a modicum of sanity. Going with the ECMWF on ZR.
  8. Sustained 58-67mph, gusts over 85+
  9. RIP, Allyn, Grapeview, Lilliwaup, etc.
  10. Sounds like (no confirmation), WB SR-520 is a sheet of ice. Possibly waiting on deicing equip?
  11. Additionally, stiff SW breeze at 14mph (warm as f***-all right now)
  12. What an EPIC FAIL. Not a single goddamn flake all night. Nothing. A lot of folks are gonna be pissed at the so-called "storm". This s*** was hyped big by local outlets and had people running around like crazy. Yes, NWS did state there would be a line of demarcation so to speak, but holyshit, what a complete dud.
  13. Yikes (if true) Most temps around West Seattle are low/mid 30's
  14. If this storm ends up being a flop, ooh boy.
