Be careful with the metals. I do know that certain forms of silver can be good though.
Too much colloidal silver will turn you permanently blue.

Looks like the Troutdale station was down for a few hours last night when the winds were at their strongest.

33 here, I've sent the husband out on a coffee mission to see how the roads are. I'll likely stay home from work another night. Not the vacation I was wanting to take.

The transportation team at work had one heck of a night. 50mph winds and more freezing rain. No one can understand why they haven't closed the building down.
Meanwhile I'm stuck at home with 3 stir crazy kids going crazy myself.

Down to 31 from 34 this morning. The ice has been building back up.
Thankfully I have an awesome manager who is giving us the night off and let our dayshift go home early.

My manager is letting the dayshift go home early because it is still bad in Troutdale.

Wind has gone calm at PDX, and they are sitting at freezing at the 3 o’clock hour. I wonder if the southerlies will break through there soon.
Still have light easterlies here, and holding at 31. Pouring out there but it’s close enough to freezing now where ice isn’t accumulating as quickly.
I'm glad I opted to stay home from work tonight. I'm still not sure how tomorrow will play out.

The warm up has been so slow for PDX.

Yeah... on 10/28. And then Randy's dad shortly after. Rough end to 2023 for us.
My mothers aunt passed away Christmas Eve. Mom forgot to tell me so when I asked how she was doing on New Years was quite the surprise for both of us.

I had a bad nightmare last night while asleep. While all of us had been enjoying our arctic cold and snow we were struck with the massive 9.0 cascadia earthquake. The sheer terror I felt and destruction of the quake and tsunami in this cold was pure hell. I woke up before too long and sighed a breath of relief that it was just a dream... I hope that quake never hits but I know it’s pretty much inevitable at some point.
I had this same thought too while sitting in my powerless house last.
