Now it’s raining. @Cascadia_Wx
I snapped this SNAP crossing the Glenn Jackson about a half hour ago. I can see the cloudiness to the east and down your way Andrew. You are actually about due south of that bridge. I always look toward Table Rock and give you a little tip of the hat when I cross
But I actually wouldn’t worry too much Andrew. I think the clear skies are moving your way.

Pretty solid cloud deck here.
Severe clear here. Lots of sun today but only hit 54.

What a beautiful evening out there. I’m curious about frost chances tonight.

Really hoping we can turn the corner on this early onset to the warm and dry season heading into May.
Maybe similar timing to the big pattern flip at the end of last April, but in the opposite direction. Probably just wishful thinking there.

12z GFS shows some pretty dead weather for us the next week at least. Not a single system making it through and temps running consistently 4-6 degrees above normal.

Most spots are within a degree of normal. PDX once again representing the extreme in one direction.
You remind me of a pop up ad.

I bet there is a huge glacier on the other side
Probably much much more snow under the trees. At least during a normal snowpack year. Hiking in the Cascades for years, the differences in snowpack between the north side of an exposed peak and the south side can be pretty shocking.

Pretty morning here. Partly to mostly cloudy with some sunbreaks. 45 currently after a low of 42.

Below average Precip. In some places well below.
And also well above average temps so far for many spots. And that trend looks to continue.

Ensembles look a little better for rainfall chances later this week than the operational. Although the trend lately has been for everything to warm up and dry out as it approaches so it wouldn’t surprise me to see this meet the same fate.

I like my Model Y. I’ve had it for 4 months. I’ve never used the Tesla charging stations so can’t comment on those. They are starting to install chargers on residential streets in Seattle attached to the power poles, those are going to be on every block eventually.
Would never buy that monstrosity that is a Cybertruck. It’s too bad that Tesla is headed to the toilet after so much promise. The smaller Rivian that looks like a Subaru is going to fly off the shelves when it is released. Hopefully BYD starts selling cars in North America soon as well.
If too many people start driving Teslas the springs and summers might stop warming as much around here. Be careful what you wish for.

Pretty decent day here. 56/46 spread so far. Mostly cloudy early with some very light showers at times, then more sunbreaks later on. Coolish and breezy throughout.

Another cold day. Currently 48 degrees.
Will be nice when we get some actual warm weather again.Looks like SEA is running a whopping -0.6 departure month to date. This is called average April weather, buddy.
We are running a +2.5 down here.

One decent storm cycle can cut those deficits in half or more.
The problem is that the clock is ticking…if the wetter period for the end of April doesn’t verify, then we might be out of luck for a regional soaker.
I realize most examples of this are from before your time, but May and June can be decently wet around here with the right pattern.

Ok, so we made it through this brutal weekend. I endured two different outdoor fires with neighbors as well as sitting in the sun for a while and even yardwork without suffering heat exhaustion. It's gonna take a couple of days to recover. Also it has been sunny and nice all morning and thankfully now the clouds are moving in.
Hilarious stuff This will show all the folks complaining non stop all weekend, like….well I can’t think of anyone actually. But keep the komedy gold koming!!

I'm digging that filtered sunshine next Saturday. Do have to work that day though.
It’s been nice to see how much cooler highs have been there more south this weekend too.

Thanks President Biden! He just approved Oregon’s request for federal major disaster relief so we can continue to recover from the Epic January Snow/Ice/Wind storm.

Looks like PDX barely avoided a 70 degree day today Only ended up having one 70 degree day with this stretch and it wasn’t even on a weekend day!
Temps cooling off quickly on the west side this evening though with even some 40s showing up in Vernonia
The next few days look much cooler with highs not even hitting 60 and now the latest 7-day only has two days peaking in the low 70s

NWS said the early spring here alleviated some usual pre green up fire concern. pretty much everything is getting green or flowering about 3 weeks ish early. silver lining I guess. need rain though
Hoping we can get some of our classic May/June ULL action this year. Those are good at bringing needed rainfall to both the east side and west side.

Beautiful day here. Morning clouds and afternoon sun with puffy clouds. 67/47 spread so far, with a gusty and cooling NW wind developing in the afternoon and cutting temps off around 4pm.
Lovely evening. Temps are dropping off fast already with a current temp of 54. May set a midnight low.

54/42 day here with mostly to partly cloudy skies and a cool NW breeze. It’s already down to 48 here so outside chance we could improve upon the low before midnight.
