Hopefully we can do better than that.
What wasn't to like? Was it crappy in Silverton/Silver Falls?
I was in Lake Stevens at the time so I have no idea.

Yeah I grew up in Mukilteo AND the ferry dock would be rain while at the top of the hill where Olympic View Jr High school is there would be 3-4 inches of snow. That is the way it is in the Puget SOund lowlands
Yessir, and I know exactly the area you speak of. The areas around Boeing down to N. Lynnwood are almost a whole different climate. I also lived in Lake Stevens at 240' elevation. My world would be night and day compared to what people near the Hwy 2 trestle and downtown Everett would experience.

I think the Halloween snow may have been. The stuff during the winter was mainly from Arctic fronts or snow that fell while cold air was in place.
I used to live right off of 228th st in Bothell, right at the top of the hill, not too far from the fire station. It was amazing how different that extra 250' of elevation would make between where I lived and let's say the Applebees at the bottom. One time I had 3 inches of snow at my house and just ice pellets near the freeway.

I had 19.7" that winter where I was living (Bothell WA) with two good stretches with snow on the ground. Also a white Halloween complete with icy roads.
Surely a PSCZ or 2 came into play?

Model shift will start commencing by the 30th. Just a hunch.

So much better to have these warm anomalies now as opposed to late Dec, into Jan/Feb.
Of course if it was cold and snowy now, everyone would be talking about how we are blowing our load too early :).

That'll be nice! Bend and Redmond can have far different weather despite being so close together!
Which airport do you think is busier? Redmond or Aurora? Aurora a few years ago had gain a full time ATC crew due to how busy they have gotten without having one. Does Redmond have one?
Redmond is a pretty busy airport if you factor in local flights as well. I actually do work for a gentleman that flies from the Madras airport to Redmond airport when the roads are sketchy.

Everybody always says that about '16-'17.
The one place that sucked really bad that winter? You guessed it, right where I was in the dome. Lived in Clackamas/Happy Valley, worked in Gladstone. It wasn't that great really.
