If we complain a bunch will get snow.

The bigger issue here is the lack of moisture this past week. Been plenty cold.

I’m not even sure this winter gets a C. Probably the least amount of snow accumulation we have had in recent memory.

Looks like Longview WA was the big winner today. Looked like they had 1-3 inches of snow.

We need this weather to last until June

These bands are too transient and move through fast. Much more steady stream west of the sound. Looks like some more organized precip moving though.

Woke up and it’s snowing good here!

00z euro wants to give us some snow in Puget Sound area. Probably trying to fool us again.

Just for the record Bellevue sucks for snow. Better than Seattle but it still sucks. The only good spot in Bellevue is in the Newport hills above 800 feet. As we have seen in recent years even Whatcom county doesn’t do all that great. Often times it is dry during arctic blasts. Usually does better on the back end. The CZ is a favored spot. But East King county near the foot hills is not bad either in certain situations. As a general rule places above 500 feet near the foothills anywhere in Western WA is much better than directly along I-5 corridor. Hood Canal is great too. Personally I love the Puget Sound area. Good access to some of the best outdoors in the lower 48 and close in driving distance to visit snow. Just wish we got a few more good snow storms below 1,000 feet. These are 1st world problems that are fun to complain about.

Agree. Just frustrating that as soon as the best dynamics are in play it goes dry.

I think his point is that despite the chilly weather on the west side it’s relatively warm east of the Cascades. Same temp here as Spokane.

I been getting good snow showers off and on all day. I feel good about tonight as long as we get enough consistent moisture.

We can’t feel bad for people above 1500 feet. They have elevation privilege.

A C with an asterisk. Snow stopped here now. I’m feeling a bit more confident about the next 48 hours assuming we actually get sufficient moisture.

Just had a snow shower roll through. Any precip that falls tonight should be snow.

This is our best chance to maybe give this winter a C grade.
