I think his point is that despite the chilly weather on the west side it’s relatively warm east of the Cascades. Same temp here as Spokane.

I been getting good snow showers off and on all day. I feel good about tonight as long as we get enough consistent moisture.

Just had a snow shower roll through. Any precip that falls tonight should be snow.

The NAM is pure evil

For once I’d like to be surprised. I just don’t trust the Euro anymore this season.

Currently raining with occasional flakes here at 600+ feet. Went for a walk up the ridge behind my house. Encountered heavy snow falling around 1500-1600 feet of elevation. Probably about 12 inches of new snow right around 1900 feet.

It it’s all intentional. Forecasters need jobs too. I should add the HRRR was a joke yesterday too.

I’ve lost faith in the Euro. A few years ago you could trust the snow maps even. Now it’s worse than the GFS.

This just wasn’t our season. Even for the snow magnet Mossman. The 3-5 day range just teases us with possibilities that never materialize. Unless you live above 1,000 feet.

I woke up briefly at 3am and it was mixed. Pretty lame and went back to bed. Snow line looks fairly low though on mountains on my side of the watershed.

That band heading up from Olympia looks sorta promising.
