I still can't believe my favorite team, the Rangers, managed to win it all. They were so cursed before that. Maybe the Mariners will break theirs next.

That's cool! How did you choose the Rangers as opposed to the M's or one of the California teams? Do you go to any Emeralds games? I bet they get a lot of rainouts!

Amen! As a Puerto Rican I'm more of a baseball fan and it is indeed depressing lol.

That 2017 WBC was incredible. Who is your favorite team? Or do you mainly cheer for Team PR?

The sustained winds seem far weaker than they were during the last one in January when I was afraid one of my south facing windows would be blown out.

I’m happy with my 13.5”. It’s below average, but 11” of that fell within a week and barely melted for 12 days. So it felt like much more (for reference, the 3 feet that fell in Jan  2016 was gone within a week).

Also, it’s probably more than you’ll get this winter. ;)

Sounds like a smarter east coast version of me :)

Just checked Oregon snow pack. The Willamette Basin is 94% of normal, south Cascades are 98%, Central Oregon is about normal, and SE Oregon is well above average. Not bad.

How's the lower Snake in WA? Last I saw we were at like 70 percent or so.

Flew back to Spokane today and all the snow in North Whitman and Spokane counties from Thursday has melted. Thursday the roads were covered in snow noeth of Colfax. Friday the roads themselves had melted but hills were covered. Today pretty much nothing all the way home with cold sunshine.

I was just thinking today that is one part of the state where I would rather stay right where I am than go there.

Yes. I'd you look at every snow map, they are in the bullseye of nothing. Said bullseye of nothing often ends just west of me, when I'm not shadowed by warm noses. So while I complain about my climate, I wonder what would have happened if Iwe had moved there. We had a six year stretch where we told everyone we were moving from north SnoCo but nothing ever happened. We moved 2x in 2020. Pasco was a consideration although Fargo, ND was the most serious.

    Cougars!

7 straight wins. Although my parents' neighbor is from Tacoma and a proud UW Seattle alum and told me that he can't support seven year old's Cougar fandom lol. I should have asked him if he misses the snow, having been in CA the last twenty years.

We'll see if there's any convection here in CA tomorrow then back to KGEG on Tuesday.

This is gorgeous but I hate the snow hole over my house. Still like half a foot but still!! 😂

Or the actual snow hole over mine.

In Sacramento tonight and it's been pouring the last several hours and rain all day. As for my location back home it looks like winter is over there.

Up to almost 1" now.  Just absolutely ripping right now and hours to go per radar!!

We will need more photos. I'm super excited for you! Out of curiosity how do places like South Bend or Raymond do compared to Aberdeen and Hoaqium? How does that Bay impact snow?

We were married in Island County but registered our license in Pacific since we lived in Clatsop County OR at the time.

Likely for Western WA. Pasco/Kennewick/Richland "Tri Cities", Gorge Ampitheater near Royal City (Mattawa I think is the driest place in the state) or Clarkston closer to my area probably have it beat on the east side due to low elevation and shadowing.

That goes to show how unremarkable cold is without good accumulations. Last year was painful. We had plenty of days where it snowed but it never accumulated to very much.

I remember plenty of trace to 1/2 inch snowfalls.

Same here. I know lots of posters loved it but it was always death by 0.20 slop for me.
