  1. Someone hand a bottle to the uncle. Perhaps to some of us as well.
  2. Maybe take the plow off. That should shake the models up a bit.
  3. My sister that lives in Johnson City, TN got a white Christmas. Currently 18 degrees there.
  4. A cold, wet Christmas turned into a warm, wet Christmas.
  5. Well, I've come out of retirement. Anything interesting happen while I was gone?
  6. Guys, screw this place I'm outta here. Cya around never.
  7. I think we might have had one in November. Eugene is the inversion capitol of the western PNW. We typically get several due to this, but they've been a bit rarer lately.
  8. Depressing day. Only a 39/34 spread. Low clouds all day long. Zero sunshine.
  9. Poking around a bit, I find the NWS website to be pretty inconsistent. I'm getting different predictions from your link, my phone app (that uses NWS predictions), and their main website. I'll be fine with 22. Maybe I can make some wheelbarrow ice.
  10. I think you misread that. Looks like they're going for 27. Maybe a few frostmen are in the cards for this Christmas.
  11. I noticed that too, but deferred to hear what others were gonna say. Sad.
  12. Good luck to those in the maybe zone. Hopefully at least a few members will score in their backyard and post plenty of pics. This is such an odd event and very interesting meteorology wise.
  13. Way OT. Sorry. I've been reading reviews and watching hilarious videos of Cyberpunk 2077. It is one of the most disappointing and buggy video games to ever have been released.
  14. If your yard has the right ingredients, a mud monster is a possibility.
  15. That was one weird but awesome winter here in Eugene. Two absolutely terrific events to bookend a very blah middle, including the mountains.
  16. I had to take a break to see the Ducks absolutely destroy the trojans, but Dec 2013 is definitely in my top 3 Eugene events. I got to -2 at my location in town and had a sub 2 temp for 3 straight days with 6 inches of no chance of melting snow on the ground. There has been a couple of loosely documented tornadoes in town.
  17. I never think you are serious, other than the occasions when you actually are.
  18. I like you TWL, but I can all but guarantee you that 95% of the population of the utopia of Indiana would kill for Eugene's climate and scenery, and you would too after a short time there. I know you aren't exactly keen on Eugene's increasing summer temps. I'm just fine with it, however, as I don't mind some low humidity 90's. But try Indiana for a week. It can be more humid there than the gulf coast states. 80 degree dew points. 120+ heat indexes aren't that uncommon anymore. Brown, crusty snow with no hills or tall green trees also gets pretty old after about 2 hours. The lack of snow here is what makes the snowfall we get that much more enjoyable.
