    Still look to be in good shape. St. Helens up to Longview area have been building some steam all day. At this point it’s just wait and see who gets nailed with a heavy band or two for the extra goods

    So I’ve been following folks believe ratios will be higher than 10:1 in this setup. Basic explanation as to why?

    Not an expert but models never seem to deal with these setups perfectly. I have to believe this is all snow for most - maybe south metro deals with some sleet. Definitely a range of microclimates and wide spread of totals for most events. But we’ve had all snow with less impressive cold in the past.

    Most districts went with a half day down here, seems prudent but may end up being overly cautious. Rather they err on that side of things though. And yes after tomorrow all will be forgotten

    Well D**n, glad they preemptively closed my kids school 3 hours early for nothing then Pretty sure everyone is trying to avoid the stranded bus fiasco from several years back so I get it.

    Alright PDX fam, hunker down time. Feels like a dynamic situation and as always I’m sure we’ll have some wild discrepancies based on microclimates. Winds look nasty and south metro to mid-valley could be an ice rink. Looking forward to watching it unfold tomorrow!

    Right on the SW edge of Mult/Washco county line here, curious to see how strong the winds are in our little microclimate. Forecasted gust of 50 is bananas. Fully expect widespread outages.
