    What are the odds that the Canadian high is able to build and keep this monster south? Models keep trending northward and I hate it.

    thats a strong northern wave, the euro had it at like 1005 mb.

    This winter has not favored the Euro, the GFS has done fairly well...

    exactly, as soon as I saw the high was weaker I had a hint that we may be in trouble, the high built too little too late

    The winds do not look insane at this point, but around 30-40 mph gusts.

    hopefully the GFS can sag south a bit then it'd get the guys in chicago a piece of the pie as well.

    El Nino tends to favor big ones in february, so the storm potential is there and it appears as if theres plenty of cold air for it as well.

    This is very strange, a potentially significant blizzard 5 years to the day of our last one.

    I'd say nobody is getting 5 from this. 4'' maybe out by I35. but thats as high as im willing to go at this point
