Oh yeah I get that for sure. I find it interesting that the NWS chose to include a tornado threat, though. Never see them do that around these parts, even if they are just being cautious.

Either way, even with just floods, our power is likely to get knocked out.

Most of us here in this thread are going to get hammered by this thing. NWS shows slightly higher rainfall for my area than yours, though. Only Thunder98 might avoid getting hit by the brunt of it.

Every model run has my area under orange now at minimum. I'm getting hosed by this thing no matter what.

Never seen that before.

Becoming very likely that all of us in the SoCal valleys are, if you'll excuse my language, going to get into some sh*t real soon. I'm more concerned about potentially damaging winds rather than flooding rains, although the latter is more likely.

Possibly. There was a sudden wind spike (15mph) during that time as well, and the humidity dipped for a while.

2:23 AM and suddenly it's raining outside. 0.01" so far, my first measurable precipitation of the season.

Getting light outside now but the whole sky is dark grey.

Left work an hour ago to find it raining and extremely humid. Dry only a couple of blocks away.

The only above-average temperature spell of the entire year so far has occurred over the past three weeks here.

My new window air conditioner was installed yesterday so now the rest of the summer should be at least somewhat tolerable.
