  1. Sorry, I misread your comment. I retracted my reply.

  2. We usually have some kind of smoke every year. It's been worse in recent years, though. We're getting smoke from other places like Northern California and British Columbia. September 2020 would have been a nice month, but the ridiculous smoke settled in like an unwelcome houseguest.
  3. My sister lives over in Everett. She is so tired of the relentless rain this year. I feel bad for her.
  4. The farmers should be happy. We've had some warmer weather and some rain.
  5. It rained all last night here. January-March was pretty dry, so we could use the beneficial precipitation.
  6. It's nothing new over here. We had our worst wildfire in October 1991. We had a cool May and a record cold June that year.
  7. You got lucky. Most are high based in the summer and have nothing but dry lightning. Thunderstorms are usually fire starters.
  8. July, August, and September were very nice that year. We were so appreciative when it cleared up in early July. June was super gloomy that year.
  9. 1991, 1901, 1981, 1954, 1953, 1893, 1980, 1971, 1976, 2001, 1943, 1966, 1956, 1906, 2011, 2010, 1984, 1975, 2012, and 1942 are the 20 coldest Junes in Spokane history. I experienced 8/20 or 40% of them. 1991 sucked rocks and everything else.
  10. You do have a nice tractor. It's really quite versatile.
  11. March was far different. It likely warmed the average some.
  12. Up here KGEG registered a top 10 cold May and a top 10 cold April. June will likely be cooler than average, too. July and August, if history is any indication, will be pretty close to average. 1984, 1996, 2008, 2011, and 2012 were similar years.
  13. Good point. We'll probably sit in the middle and be the battleground. It will be up and down like most Junes.
  14. People up here are either endlessly fascinated by thunderstorms or deathly terrified of them. On the other hand, people in thunderstorm prone areas seem ambivalent toward them unless one turns severe or tornadic.
  15. 75 @ 11:30, I'm enjoying today. I'm going to soak up every nice day between now and October. They are so precious.
  16. True, it's trash or treasure. I really like the front range climate. Cold fronts are snappy. You don't get that too much in the PNW.
  17. I can't get over Jimmy Fallon and Chris Christie dancing. Good stuff.
  18. Billings is like black licorice. People love it or hate it. There's really no in between. I like sagebrush, prairie, and cactus. So it appeals to me.
