12Z ECMWF looks very troughy and wet. April is running a little colder than normal at SEA through yesterday and likely will end up colder than normal.

Looks like the rain is arriving just in time to ruin some late afternoon outdoor plans!

Totally dry frontal passage
It's OK... your trees will be dormant for another 2 months. In early March you said 10-12 weeks away from any signs of life. Another 8 weeks or so to go.

I dunno about having no idea absent the modern forecast models. Barometric pressure has been falling all day. Usually a pretty good hint something is coming.
I wouldn't be checking that... just feels like a day that would be nice until the end if you had no internet access.

I just said the same thing to my wife. Would have no idea today was about to crash if not for the models. 72 and sunny and barely a breeze now. Feels like summer. And then will feel like winter in a few hours.

Pretty obvious who decoupled last night and who didn’t!
Pretty sure the east wind was going all night here.

12Z GEM is also much less troughy later in the run than its 00Z run.

12Z GFS holding off any return to rain (after the front today) until Thursday now and then goes back to a fairly quiet pattern after a couple days. Not seeing any real signs of a major pattern change. Generally a variable pattern with plenty of nice days mixed in and not real wet overall.

Over 60" for the season now, essentially average.
And cause the postponement of the Mariners-Rockies game.
When it's snowing in Denver in the spring it's usually really nice here.

Tim predicted a “very wet” weekend, but aside from some light showers this weekend looks mostly dry.
I actually said one GFS run from days ago looked very wet down there because it showed rain all day on both Saturday and Sunday. It was an accurate statement on that specific run then and still is accurate when referring to that specific run. It was not a prediction. That specific run did not verify.

I'm more or less focused on the temperature crash. Even if it doesn't rain the evaporative cooling from rain in the vicinity will cool things off quickly and substantially.
Yeah... temps are going to crash hard.

SEA has had 5 colder than normal months in that span and that doesn't count June which was exactly normal. So just a negative tenth of a degree away from 6. Which would be what would be expected normally... 6 and 6.
