  1. 00Z RGEM is similar to 12Z run, low moves just south of Seattle
  2. Definitely looks good so far, no issues with temps. Not north like I thought, actually areas a little further south do well. 00Z 18Z
  3. 00Z NAM is completely different than 18Z. Much more moist, will probably come in north.
  4. According to 00Z NAM, it doesn't stop snowing around Seattle through at least 5 AM tomorrow...
  5. Snowing pretty decently in downtown now
  6. That could also be connected to it sending the system farther north than other guidance, no? I think there's still decent model support for a more southerly track that it's not "over"..
  7. I'm not sure what you're looking at, but 18Z was significantly north with Tues/Wed, so Seattle is just cold rain. EPS is less and less relevant the closer we get. Not saying it's gonna happen how Euro shows, but it's pretty clear that 18Z was worse for Seattle.
  8. Also huge north shift from 00Z Euro last night to 12Z/18Z today. Euro within 72 hours is not what it's made out to be.
  9. Wow 18Z Euro with the complete rug pull for Seattle metro. Hard to believe we could get through this with no snow in Seattle but that's definitely on the table now.
  10. Still a couple days out for Tues/Wed, low placement could easily shift again by tomorrow. Interesting that the GFS and NAM dont have it as much of an organized system at this point.
  11. Just an observation after living in New England for the past 3 years.. Out East, it definitely feels like things tend to trend better in the days leading up to the event and things often surprised to the upside. Out here (raised in Portland, now in Seattle), seems to be the opposite. The suffering is real
  12. Surface temps 39 in Seattle. The classic last minute north shift might be in play.
  13. RGEM and ICON are much improved for the Sound. But it's really close between getting hammered and being shafted. Still really good runs though
  14. I don't think Tuesday/Wednesday is set by any means. Overall track of the system still seems really variable. Could easily be too north or south for the Sound to do well.
  15. Wishcasting...these northern and southern energies are going to phase together and blast us with snow..
  16. Yeah 18Z RGEM has trended significantly north with the low, mostly rain for the Sound. Hope we can keep that low a little further south.
  17. Do you guys think Stevens Pass would be safe to drive this evening? We're new to the area and were thinking of a day trip out there. TY!!
  18. Sorry if it's been mentioned, but the 12Z RGEM is completely different for Tuesday then the GEM. it absolutely buries the Puget Sound. Edit: OOPS, just saw it a few pages back..
  19. So if the GFS completely caves, can we just stop using it in the future...?
  20. Historically, does the convergence sound typically set up north of Seattle? Or can it set up in the city itself as well?
