Thank you!! Would you recommend taking a different route?

Looking for some advice from you kind folks. We're pretty new to the area and want to make the drive out to Leavenworth this weekend. Do you guys think I-90 will be passable with a Subaru Outback with snow tires? Don't wanna take any serious risks, but also don't wanna cancel for nothing. We were thinking of leaving around noon as the snow tapers off, but it looks like at least a foot will have fallen over the pass overnight.

It'll be interesting to see if anything can make it to Seattle proper. A couple inches tonight would be so cool.

To be fair, RGEM does show the snow line just south of Seattle to start. If there is gonna be snow, it's gonna be a narrow line between ice-storm and a few inches of snow(then ice-storm..)

Are you by any chance the Antipex from the 'Wronga' song? I remember dying laughing to that as a kid.

As we get closer to the event, this looks to be trending drier, especially for the initial wave.

Should be some really high ratio stuff too. 10:1 is probably too low.

Interesting that Everett quickly dropped to 28 with the N winds. If the winds switch, this could be quite nice.

Driving from Wallingford to Redmond, temp dropped from 39 to 34. If we switch northerly, could easily be back to snow soon. We'll see!

Not gonna lie, talks about this potentially being historic and seeing some mets and experienced posters being on board has this one feeling extra sad as the bust becomes more possible/likely edit: but I'm still believin' over here!! Screw the warm nose, warm tongue, all that..

Wish the 12Z GFS was right! It shows 6-10" Tacoma to Everett.

Unfortunately, looking at guidance that came out overnight, things seem to be trending towards Euro. HRRR and RGEM are showing the snow-rain-snow transition happening even north of Seattle. Euro did well to show it first. I think we'll get some snow tomorrow but also quite a bit of rain as well.

Yeah radar looks to be filling in to the west. Wonder if we could pull off any significant accumulation beyond a dusting.

From what I can tell on Pivotal, UKMET looks similar to other 00Z guidance. Pretty good consensus on a nice event from at least Tacoma-Everett. Hopefully we see the Euro move south a touch.

Getting some really good snow here now after having flurries for a few hours. Don't think it'll last but it looks nice
