  1. I think you win! Lol and ugh. Good news my end as the area i mended held….bad news is two more sprung up downstream from that one!!!! I’ll address those another day as it was a long day in the garage going through damaged stuff. No water to house but ill survive
  2. Temp of 33* and dp 17 Will be in for a little not wanted fun
  3. Same here…just hit 32* but dp still 15*. Now you need to sit back and wait if all your pipes hold???
  4. Ugh!!! I have a heater out there along my line right now as my emergency shut off valve is frozen currently, downstream from my fix (which I had put in last time where my pipe bursted 17 years ago) . I’ll go without water for a bit and make sure everything is thawed before I turn back on. Otherwise I’ve moved onto getting the water damaged stuff out of garage. Good times. Hope yours didn’t do any major damage and hang in there
  5. Thanks Andrew and i May need to do that next year Randy! Lol….so frustrating Decided to take this one on myself fixing. My first, gotta start somewhere. Everything in place now and letting it sit for and hour before I turn water back on. Cleaned all ends and used flux in the joints. fingers crossed
  6. Good morning all ! Pipe in garage gave way! Double insulated pipe and it still froze . So now I’m an official victim of this event. 18* this morning dp is 7 so this ice won’t be going anywhere for a bit Good luck to those in the north and south on the incoming ! God Speed and I’m sitting this one out
  7. Impressed by this cold airmass and it stands alone in its own way for me. Passive arctic front here but the bite of cold unreal from the event! 11th 43/27 ………dp 32/12 (note: 6:15pm officials 32*) 12th 27/15.6 … dp 14/-4 13th. 22/12.7…..dp 0/-8 14th. 31/13………dp 9/0 15th 38/17……….dp 8/1 (temp rose above 32 at 12:30pm) 90.5 hours below 32* for event
  8. Currently 17* and that is my low for the day. Southend will bubble up quickly unless that low sinks south. We lack the necessary means to keep the cold air here….Sad Panda. In the same I never trust nature as she’s surprised me to many times before….even this locations that gives up the ghost easily.
  9. I’m stalled out on my remodel but the room is ready. I just need to stay home long enough to make it happen. I need to find my plans I drew up but this is the general idea. Sort of and inclosed wood stove burning area. Then I want to run and oversized rustic timber above it. The wood stove would be bigger then the one in the photo. Would love to snag my parents Franklin stove as that thing kept the house hot and we cooked on it as well during the Portland ice storms (power outages). Fun dreaming up ideas like this
  10. Agree! My own yard testifies this has been a special event. Historic ice build up on Whiskey Barrel Falls and it continues to grow! Been fun to be in the ice box but of course would have preferred some snow as well. IMG_0654.mov
  11. Definitely disappointing in the snow department for us. Also, models a week ago showed me basking in snow today for my Bday! Ugh , sad panda But, I still have a little left over from when the front went through. Do I count it as a white Bday???
  12. I was just down to the Port of Tacoma and was a bit taken by this! Brackish water I assume but forgot my hydrometer at home to verify…loL. Anyhow she’s freezing over!
  13. Up to 20* Besides enjoying the play by play action happening down south I do have my own microclimate happenings while I read your post. My view from the weather chair! Not bad
