  1. I just enjoyed a walk outside too. Frozen pond, redwing blackbird males staking out their territories, calm no wind, a fine layer of white spread over everything, and the crisp air made for a very enjoyable time.
  2. Normally clouds increasing means the temperatures will be going up.
  3. I agree with you. So glad for my skiff of snow this morning. I think most of us are like TT's kids. What kids? All of us on here that don't have enough snow yet?
  4. Quite a surprise for you to have less than so many others, but you'll make up for it before the year is over.
  5. Three inches, awsome. That beats my total for the winter. I've just got a skiff this morning, but it is amazing the difference just a little snow makes to the view. Outside is gorgeous.
  6. I like the pretty picture. It would be very cool if this forecast is correct.
  7. Sorry. Just saw this. I live just south of Olympia. In the country.
  8. Still snowing, coming down bigger flakes and more. The ground is starting to turn white. Also the moon is even more visible, very crazy.
  9. Still snowing and can't see it on the ground. Also the moon is visible.
  10. Snowflakes falling here. Can't believe how dry out it is. I went outside to enjoy the snow and didn't get wet at all. You can see the flakes swirling about, but it isn't accumulating on the ground at all.
  11. I just saw that too. I really hope if it happens, it happens when I'm awake. The only problem is then I'll get less work done than I am now.
  12. It's mostly evaporating before reaching the surface.
  13. The sun is shining through the clouds here in Olympia. The radar is showing precipitation tantalizingly close.
  14. The wundermap on wunderground looks neat with a band of snow shown all along the Washington-Oregon border. http://www.wunderground.com/wundermap/?lat=48.74696350&lon=-122.49594116&zoom=10
  15. It is amazing how weather works out.
  16. Very true. A cynical way to look at it, would be a trimming of the not so smart from the population. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. All too often it is the idiots that kill others. This kind of stuff is going to happen. I'm still going to enjoy this storm.
  17. That's the sad part of wonderful storms. There is a cost. Generall the cost is higher with the better storms.
  18. It's nice to have such a fun event to follow. Thanks everyone for the posts. Just south of Olympia, at 8:00 am, I went from blue sky with some high stratus to a thin overcast with the sun just barely shining through. It only took it about 30 minutes. I'm hoping to join the party. If only for a few flakes. Of course then I'll want a few more. Okay, I'm addicted and need my fix.
  19. Enjoy it. You Oregonians are looking good.
  20. A beautiful sunrise here in Olympia. Wonderful weather and lots of excitement down south. Now I just need some fancy motion detector, it could alert me if I get a flake or two. Then I can run outside and enjoy the snow.
  21. Beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing. Hope all the rest of us get snow too. Good to hear about the snow falling in different places today. Unfortunately I didn't get to watch any snowflakes dancing or falling like meteors through the air.
