Klamath Falls was 28 degrees for a low this morning. This breaks the previous record of 29 set on 06/11/2008.

Doesn't take much of a genius to figure out that the 500mb mean rises in July and August relative to mid-June.
You are just being dramatic. Having trouble accepting that this summer will likely be cooler than the last two. It's been obvious for weeks now.
Yeah, no surprise that it's going to be cooler, but considering how extreme last few summers were, we don't necessarily have to have a normal or below summer for it be cooler.
-
Extremely possible that SEA has already see the majority of 80+ days they'll see in 2016.
Does Seattle not get that many 80+ degree days? Or do we just think that Seattle will see a much cooler summer than normal?
-
Windy, drizzly, and 50's currently.
Windy, mostly clear and mid 70's
Just shy of a perfect early summer day here. A storm would just put the frosting on the ice cream cake.

We no longer have AC. Not since we've been in Klamath Falls. But when we used a portable AC in Hillsboro it would require an indoor temp of 80-82+. In the evening we usually turn it off unless it's a really warm/humid night.
Here nights are usually more manageable in Klamath with lows well into the 50's or even occasionally upper 40's during a heat wave. 60+ degree mornings are uncommon in our location generally.

Tornadic Supercell right now just passed through Monument, OR. Tornado warned and possible golfball sized hail with 70mph winds. 76.0 dbz. 40k foot top. Couplets on velocity.
And I just remembered this was the same day the Long Creek tornado happened back in 1894. D**n, global warming back then too eh.
Edit: 1.75" hail (golfball) was reported in Monument.

I was being sarcastic in my statement last night. Obviously we have more 90s on the way at some point. Although hopefully we can avoid a boatload like the last few summers.
Medford will see it's 4th consecutive hottest summer on record.
-
Not necessarily
Averages say yes. There were maybe 1 or 2 summers I recall that didn't have 90's in July/August/September. Compared to the other 150 (or so..)
Averages Trump all.

Last 90 of the season?
I hope you realize we're in meteorological summer now as of June 1st.
More 90's are coming. lol

I had one rumble from a storm just to my south around 2pm, but storms are moving E-NE today so that one didn't get to reach my place.
Still counts as my 10th t'storm day though. I see additional activity trying to form well to my west. Maybe later something?
-
Now seeing a little tower just east of Weed, lighting up. That's almost 100 miles away I think.

So far Klamath Falls has been dodging the storm bullet, but more activity is developing moving north, and it should last into tonight according to Medford.
Interesting radar flow day. There have been storms moving in 3 different directions on KMAX in the last few hours (NE to SW, NW to SE, and now storms moving north).
-
Lots of strong storms throughout Klamath County, even 1 severe warning just issued north of Diamond Lake.
The cluster by the lake has 47,000 foot top on radar, but since this is elevated convection should that be subtracted by 10-12k?

I had a low of 61 this morning in Klamath Falls. I don't typically start getting 60+ degree lows until July (even in mid summer they are NOT common). Last year I had a couple in June but we all know that was an unusual month. I'm sure I have broken at least a couple record lows already in June so far (59 on 06/01, 55 yesterday, 61 today). If only I have easy access to record warm low temperatures in Klamath Falls.
Warm/humid with a pretty turbulent looking sky to my south and east. Earlier this morning there were a couple storms south of the CA border. Overcast since before sunset yesterday. Dewpoints spiked in the mid 50's in the evening briefly which is pretty moist for the Basin.

98 vs. 100 is not a bust. Though I am just talking about PDX, there may have been areas that went 4-6 degrees under forecast. But PDX was well within reason today. I was also 2 degrees below my forecast of 96, not really a fuss maker in the meteorology business.
-
94 for a high today here. I broke my record of 89 set in 1969.
In other news, NWS Medford issued a Flash Flood Watch for me effective tomorrow afternoon.

PDX is stuck at 89. They will never break the 90 mark this summer!
89 until 3pm and then they get to 100 at 4pm.
-
A forecast?
Those look to be current temperatures. KHIO did last read 89 at 11:53am. Maybe he meant AM instead of PM.
-
Low of 55 this morning here. That's my 2nd warmest this year, on 06/01 I had 59 for a low. I'm sure that broke a record max low. Lows can still range from mid 30's to upper 40's easily before late June.
-
75 degrees at 9:45 p.m. and really sultry, still, and buggy outside. Lots of mosquitos. Feels more like Phil's neck of the woods, although I realize a 58-degree dewpoint would be a welcome respite there.
I ran into a couple "clouds" of midges during a walk earlier this evening right before sunset. Even though they don't bite I had to look like a schizophrenic patient for a few minutes wiping them off of me.
-
High of 88 today, with a little breeze in the evening hours. Just 2 degrees below today's record of 90 in 1987.
Tomorrow will easily break the record of 89 set in 1969, I'm quite confident of that.

Promising AFD this morning from Medford. Nocturnal convection is a possibility from Saturday through Tuesday. And there is a better trigger for storms compared to a few days ago.

Yesterday morning I had a low of 59. I'm sure this was a record max low for 06/01 in Klamath Falls. Even in July/August it doesn't get warmer than 60-62 degrees for lows on an average summer. Many records in the summer consist of mid-upper 60's.

There were only 2 other lows in June in the 20's since I moved to Klamath Falls. 06/03/2011 had 29 and 06/08/2011 had 29. A handful of lows in June were 30 and 31 but it doesn't often get colder than that at the start of meteorological summer. This makes my latest 20's so far in this area. Though my latest sub-freezing low was 30 on 06/18/2014.
Now to add this to my signature..
