  1. Noon temp at LNK is 75... Forecast high was upper 60s
  2. Wow, it low 70s today in much of Western NE and up into Rapid City SD
  3. Jesus 00z gfs is all around UGLY lol. Also my family is visiting for thanksgiving this week and bringing the southern warmth with them.
  4. Kind of funny that 2013-14 was also a bad winter in Nebraska. I'm from a MS suburb of Memphis and that was the worst winter I've ever experienced. I recorded 5 mornings in the single digits on my PWS and never saw more than a light dusting of snow. To put salt in the wound, there was several occasions where it was 33 degrees with a raging thunderstorm/pouring rain. It was a wild winter everywhere from Atlanta (famous snowjam), Birmingham, Little Rock, Dallas etc. while I got the shaft every storm. It was such a historic winter almost everywhere and my area was left out so I know how it feels.
  5. Not bad for first flakes of the season! Especially since just last night I thought we would have to squint to see anything even in the best case scenario.
  6. Yeah and the sky conditions report was also clear at the time LOL. I've noticed that KLNK can be kind of suspect at times, especially for a station that's supposed to represent a largeish city.
  7. Lol there's no need to be sad about a threat that was never really there in the first place, it's October and there plenty of winter ahead. I'm just happy it's getting colder at least. I definitely think there's a high chance we'll have a measurable snow before thanksgiving.
  8. 3.89" at Lincoln airport for the first week of October. It's been pretty soggy lately so it's nice to see it clearing out for game day.
  9. I know you guys in NWTN did really well with the 3/5/15 storm. Even in the Memphis metro the weather dome couldn't hold up long enough and 3-6" fell. Anyways good luck down there, chances are there will be a big one!
  10. Newbie is going to play! Chicago: Nov 14 (11:04 pm) Minneapolis: Oct 24 (10:32 pm) Omaha: Nov 10 (7:24 am) Des Moines: Nov 10 (6:10 pm) Oklahoma City: Dec 21 (10:33 am) Detroit: Nov 21 (11:47 am) Milwaukee: Nov 2 (10:46 pm)
  11. I'm doing my first year at UNL from the deep south. I'm definitely pumped to experience a winter and hope it's not a letdown. I see that last season was the 2nd least snowiest on record so at least that's out of the way, right? Though almost any snow is exciting to me since I'm used to only maybe one measurable snow event a season so I'll be overjoyed even in a relatively lame winter.
  12. It was a nice August in Lincoln! No 90s to speak of. Sadly this weekend will be hot in comparison to the past few weeks.
