  1. It was insane, the wind is still gusting to 35mph.
  2. Storm will be wrapping up for me in the next hour or 2. KCI (MCI) is closed.
  3. I think next weekend you will be happy.
  4. I think the Euro is right, Nebraska and the northern half of Iowa should get hit. Then on the 6th we should get some serious artic air and a storm riding over the top of it. I'm looking for some big impacts from that.
  5. I'm going to enjoy this one! Also eyeballing another good looking storm Dec 6th and 7th.
  6. Hey just wanted to report from my house, we have a full on blizzard underway. I am finally home and can just sit back and watch
  7. Tom do you have a way to zoom into my area on that 6z Euro?
  8. I don't believe they have ever issued one in the month of November.
  9. KC metro just added to the blizzard warning. That has to be a first for Nov!
  10. I believe we are in the OCT 16-20th part of the pattern and I think we are in cycle 2. Gary even said a few night ago that we have seen this series of waves before. This is one of the shortest cycles I can remember and should make for one heck of a snowy cold winter.
  11. This storm is fitting into the LRC very well. The LRC isn't perfect but it's a big help when the models are clueless. Tom are you ready for some heavy, wind driven wet snow?
  12. I think what is giving the GFS trouble is how far SE the cold front will push. The HRRR and the NAM push the front into S.MO, where as The GFS doesn't push the front through. In the last cycle the front pushed into S.MO.
  13. This is what the LRC says should happen. I will stay with it I don't buy the GFS and I won't ignore how well the NAM has preformed down here this year.
  14. NAM coming in stronger through hr30.
  15. But about 60 miles further south than it's last run.
  16. Using the LRC and factoring in the blocking this should be a blizzard that extends from KC to Chicago with the highest amounts in between. For me personally if it could track another 50 miles further east before making it's turn I would maximize this. I think this run of the NAM is real close.
  17. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you here! Please be safe this weekend.
  18. Thats the run I have been hoping for, the ICON gives me a mini blizzard.
  19. I think more in the line of 36 day cycle.
  20. I believe we are in cycle 2. Seems to be a very short cycle this year.
  21. The ICON very much resembles the Oct version of this system. My hope is with the jet stream being stronger and some blocking being present that this system will slow down and be a bit stronger.
  22. The LRC would suggest a slower and more southern track. The blocking should be strong enough to cause the storm to dig and generate more cold air. This is one of the storms I picked out to produce at least several inches for me. Also be on the look out for a bomb to follow about 6 days later.
