I’m always on the fence with politics. I don’t agree with everything republicans say, nor do I agree with everything democrats say. It’s shitty because look what this ‘labeling’ has done for our country. It’s literally created a massive divide amongst us, because everyone is so entitled to believe what they say is right, rather than compromising when they’re wrong, or even listening for that matter. When I ask a republican or democrat for their opinions on a topic, I actually listen and make my own judgements. It’s sick how 9 times out of 10, talks between the two parties just spark some shitty debate where no one listens, they talk over each other, and no matter what, if you side with one or the other you’re either a racist bigot, or a feminist cuck libtard. Idk. It sucks haha I wish everyone would just get a grip and start listening rather than talking.

We should make a scale for what we consider “blizzards” 1. Blizzard - A blizzard where you get 6”+ 2. BlizzTurd - A “blizzard” for a brief moment, but you get 2-5” This most recent storm was definitely a BlizzTurd for Omaha and Lincoln, so I’m going to keep being greedy.

Oh gosh, not you too the Nebraska hate train is at full capacity already! In all seriousness, I get as emotional as anyone when it comes to this and I hope I haven't attributed to this poor mental image of Nebraskans as a whole (even though I probably have). That said, I hope sometime we can find peace with you guys to our east, there are some awesome people out here that have been on this forum with me since 2009, before it was even called theweatherforums (westernusawxforums baby!) and several others as that offer constructive ideas rather than just spewing crap on here. I don't want those poor behaviors of some to tarnish those who are here to discuss weather. Of course emotion is unavoidable to some extent, but maybe we can just get stricter with warnings/bans instead to help, because it feels like we're not all in this as a group anymore, which really sucks. EDIT: wanna know what's weird? I feel like we're all kind of a group of friends that know eachother's personalities, even though none of us have really met. Insane to think about.

I hope we can keep this forum active for severe wx season. I love it more than anything, and would really like to see this place light up.

Fatty flakes are ripping right now. I'm on the NW side of town at work, but my house is right by the airport. Moisture explosion right over Lancaster, I hope it sticks around for awhile, certainly doesn't look like it's weakening at all.
