And nobody here made a single mention of it last night??

Asleep at the wheel.   First flurry rolled through here around 6pm last night. They’ve just been too light to amount to much.   Tuesday nights are my night out of the house so I usually don’t post much on Tuesdays unless it’s significant.

yesterday afternoons 18z euro and Rgem clearly saw the precip up north.  Generally less than 0.1” though.

Sure didn't see that coming.  Pretty solid cloud shield on the sat pic right now.  This could end up being a really cold day if it's cloudy.

Mets had been calling for flurries here lasting through late morning.  Looking back at last night’s mesoscale models most of them had some precip across southern Vancouver island and the north sound.

Moving at a snails pace! Wonder if it will get to me? I was mad when I looked out and saw scud clouds and a temp at 30.9 degrees since when I went to bed last night it was 28. Hit 27.7 after midnight before the clouds apparently rolled in. But if I can get a dusting out of it I would be cool with it!

It was cloudy all night here so it never went below freezing.  Just above freezing but cold enough for the snow flurries to stick.

What are sill plates? Are they next to the windows?

If you can identify where they are coming and going from the house,  you can spread dried coffee grounds in those areas. For some reason they won’t cross it.  We do this around our kitchen window occasionally in the summer.  But it sounds like a bigger problem, so probably gonna have to spray as Dewey mentioned.

This has some 1951 aspects to it.

Perhaps farther south.  It was 21/14 with 12” of snow at Abbotsford on this day in 1951.  There was a legitimate arctic airmass across the south coast of BC for most of the first 10 Days of March that year.

This webcam is on the south Shawnigan Lake road.  We have nothing here at the north end.  That area was bare and wet 45 min ago

Sticking snow is still being driven by precip rates though.  It’s 35 and raining lightly here just to the north of this webcam.

  7. Absolutely demonic snowfall rates happening just south of me.   I’d be more annoyed if it was still winter.
Heard reports the cells over southern Vancouver island dropped up to 1” of hail in parts of Langford earlier   That band turned to Snow as it lifted north
