  1. Yeah the models have been hinting at something for Monday morning over the last few runs now.
  2. Yeah I'm definitely not complaining about the 2-3" I got here. The euro was definitely king once again with this event. I've been hoping we could avoid severe icing tonight/tomorrow but that is looking pretty unlikely at this point. Already have a pretty good glaze on everything here as zr/mist has been falling all evening. Only 22º here so also very far from moderating anytime soon. Not looking forward to that eerie sound of the wind swaying the iced up trees/branches once again tomorrow.
  3. Trust me, you don't. They cause way too much damage (not just lost of power) and it's already the third one this winter.
  4. Tonight/tomorrow still looks pretty nasty (icy) to me. Just looking at the latest HRRR it shows some pretty heavy precip arriving by 3am and it looks pretty juicy through the morning. Ice storm bust un-cancel??
  5. The back edge of this has been very kind to the Portland area. Still really coming down here with huge flakes!
  6. Yeah, I'm like, ummm that's great news! Plus the added bonus of enjoying the snow a little some before it crusts up.
  7. Definitely didn't lose anything to melting because I haven't been above freezing since before the 1st but I lost a lot due to the wind/evaporation over the last several days. Still had about 2" on the ground though going into this event.
  8. Just dumping up here now. 21º with about 1-2" on the ground so far and plenty of drifting snow. I'd say the forecast has verified quite well as long as you kept your expectations (1-2" snowfall) in check.
  9. Radar is really filling in nicely now. Most in the the PDX area should see some steady moderate snowfall through the afternoon hours. Amazing that Eugene just chaged over..
  10. They said they were going to make the call this morning on whether to postpone it... Still no word.
  11. It's not everyday that you see heavy snow falling with a temp of 21º as we approach the noon hour in Portland at 1,000ft!
  12. Gotcha. Radar to the south is looking pretty healthy through this afternoon and the atmosphere is really moistening up now so snowfall rates and accumulations should only get better as the day wears on.
