Central and western Nebraska have the best chance of cashing in on this one. Lincoln and Omaha look to be skimmed by it. I can only hope that what happened in Chicago will happen here and maybe we can get an eastern shift at the last moment so that I can get some plows on the ground

I hope you are kidding. If you mean won't change as to hitting South Dakota and Wyomind head on this yes, I hope it won't change either.NW shift seems to be king this year. -
Man this thing has really pushed Northwest in the past few runs. I can only hope that storm after the 26-27th will do the same so that we can have a chance at seeing something.

Does this surprise you? I was trying to not get all excited but it was definitely hard. I am not shocked one bit as this seems to be the norm around here anymore. Just heard on the news last night that if we don't see at least another inch of snow before the end of the year that it will be the slowest start to winter in 19 years. Ridiculous -

Storm seems to have went way north now. Glad to see that someone is getting snow at least but it looks like Omaha and Loncoln will be spared. Sounded like rain here but drought monitor has changed in the past 30 days so it will be good to see some moisture at least. Ground thawed back out within the last week so most should go into the ground. That will be good for down the round so that when the cold temps do come the ground will freeze quickly and up our chances for snow sticking. -

Well so much for that thanksgiving storm hitting our area here in NE. Not sure what happened but it dissapeared real quick. In other news we hit 58 as a high yesterday and now sitting at 54 and rain showers. Didn't take long for the snow to vanish from last weekend. I hope the trends change for our area but it isn't looking good. Looks like the plows will sit idol for yet another majority of the winter. -

Amazing what a little bit of rain instead of snow forecasted can do to this forum. It has been dead in here tonight. -

When is this forecasted Tom? I know it's a ways out and could change but just curious. -

Our local met was just talking on the news how they are forecasting a low of 3 degrees tonight. If that does happen it will break a 123 year old record. Just crazy for it being November. Now I am just hoping the storm next week can throw is a bit of accumulating snow in SE Nebraska. -
Pretty dead in here lately. Little bit of tracking to do but we need another storm on the map so the board lights up again. Seems like everyone wishes this weekend would have worked out better for the majority.

Flurries falling here. Our back table is about covered but nothing sticking to ground or street. Ground temps are 45 degrees yet so i am assuming everything that falls tonight will be gone by morning. -

We hit 57 today at noon. By 5:00 it was 32 degrees and with winds of 25mph sustained. Feel like temp is 18 as I speak. Just crazy how fast things changed. -

Thanks Geos & Tom. It will be interesting to see how this develops in the next couple of days. I personally run a snow removal company so would love to see something work into our area but still understand it is still early. We typically don't see snow until the first of December and still have lots of other work yet to get done this fall. We have had a very wet spring and fall here with some major rains so I can't wait to see how winter transpires. We actually had 7.5" of rain the last week on September. It was crazy. -

Any word on that storm next weekend? Haven't seen a ton of updates on it today. I know it's still a long ways off. -

Yes majority of the heavy snow next weekend looks to stay in central Kansas. This cold air coming will suppress it south. I can only the moisture will push north but as of now it doesn't appear that way -

Glad to see this board to active. I have been watching but haven't been able to post. Forgot my password and have tried for the past couple of weeks to have the administration send it back over to me. Finally after 3 weeks I decided to make a different account. Very frustrating. Just glad I am able to post and see the maps again.
