I would hang with anyone on here, despite my antisocial tendencies. Even Jesse, I think he's too afraid, but I bet we'd hit it off.

I think Jesse would be fun to meet in person. There’s some really cool people on here. I almost met up with @MR.SNOWMIZER once but I was up hiking and didn’t see he was in the area until after id left and got service. He seems like a cool guy wish I had gotten the opportunity to meet him.

My son has several friends at Western, and he made the same observation about them, any time they got together when he was home for the holiday, it was inevitable that there would be a smoke session.  He said it was pretty lame that they did not feel like they could ever get together without lighting up.

I used to smoke a lot of weed in high school but now it’s just an occasional thing lighting up. I have a couple friends who are major potheads smoking all the time and every time I see them they just have to smoke weed. I can see the benefits of doing it once a day in the evening to help you sleep but taking a huge bong rips all day long from the time you wake up is waaay too much.

  3. Euro shows us hitting 90 one day then crashes pretty quickly. Looks decently wet for early summer towards the end of the run too. Could actually be a pretty fun dynamic stretch of weather. We will see how much precip we get the next couple days before the heat spike shows up.

Forecasted for 71F.  We hit 68F today.  The long term forecast is looking too sunny for my liking honestly.  It also gets too warm with no real idea if it will cool down beyond those days. I truly dislike the summer months when we go weeks without rainfall.  It's sad to see the greenery fade to yellow. I hope this last bit of rain showers does a good job, because it might be weeks or months before we see it again. I have no AC, hence why I don't like heat.

Fortunately for you…you live in one of the cooler locations in the PNW during the summer. Even cooler than here most days it seems based on your reports.

Always add 3 or 4 degrees to the EPS output in the summer.    That means we peak in the upper 80s and then stabilize in the mid 70s.    Goldilocks weather.  I assume reality will be a little more variable in the long range but still really nice.

Typically since my location is near the water the temp outputs are pretty accurate on the euro so I don’t have to really add in anything for the cool bias. Go inland 5 miles and it’s a different story.

Yeah looks like a warm default into the middle of July (ridging dominant with some troughing intermixed), then a -PNA signal emerges during mid/late July (troughing dominant with ridging intermixed). Typical stuff, really.

What’s ironic is the very La Niña like base state is actually partly if not largely responsible for this warm up. If in-situ AAM was higher, the response to this bout of intense Indo-Pacific forcing would not be as blocked up/ULL dominant.

AAM will recover by mid-July, then tank again with the MJO/GWO orbit. That -dAAMt process is often when warm season -PNA patterns emerge, and it’s why Niño-to-Niña transition summers are often so cool in the PNW (AAM falling from high to low).

    Thanks Mr.Science man

  7. I get the feeling Phil’s right about the next couple weeks being on the warm side over all but maybe not torchy after this weekend/early next week. Overall I get the feeling this summer will be overall mostly have western troughing. Will probably get one more heatwave in august or September some point if I had to guess.

KPTV is forecasting 93, 97, 94 here. A bit too close to 100 for my liking but gladly it's short lived.

Yeah unfortunately you gotta add like 10 degrees to our highs up here down there usually. One of the reasons I like living up here is the natural AC from the Puget sound keeps things in check but of course the flip side of the coin in the winter is milder lows.
