  1. On Monday three of those quakes center near Snyder south of the Panhandle. The largest being 4.0. One centered south of Ft. Worth at 3.2. I didn't feel it. These occurred off of the Balcones Fault that runs southwest to northeast. Most geologists say that Texas can not create a quake beyond 4.0 but it is debated.
  2. Yeah, were finishing up September with a record warm and dry. Everyone looks at the sky like "why me?"
  3. So are you thinking it will dip south into Texas? Or just up on Okla/Kan border? I'm concerned Texas I'll have a dry winter and that's rough on us.
  4. Finishing September in Texas with the hottest September EVER. Also rain total......
  5. That's a little too chilly in the house for this thin blooded Texan! But I'm so glad to see the heat break. I thought we would see an early Fall and more rain this late summer, but woah, missed that bus!
  6. We'll have a High of 96* on this last day of September. October begins with a High forecast of 97*. Ugh. Our first cool front won't make it until next Sunday. We should see 89* this coming Sunday, then wake to low 60's! Several days in the low 80's with low 60's morning. Rain in the forecast as well. Bring it, Baby! Bring - it - on !!
  7. Yeah, Southcentral US was Stinkville this year.
  8. Well, it's 84*. Heading for 95* DP 71* Humidity 66% Goodbye September....you hot dry old #####!!
  9. Moving into autumn like a herd of winded turtles!
  10. Nebraska is enjoying a little warm front straight from the heart of Texas and Oklahoma. We've been "enjoying" mid to high 90's with high humidity and dew points for several weeks now. I'm serious mad as a hatter for cooler weather. Everyone is weary of it. Usually we are about 10* cooler by now. Enough to cool our attitudes. Next week we will "dip" to 92-94. Practically a cold front. But the change is-a-comin' brothers! By Thursday we should see high 80's. ( That's not a typo!) So, any of you forecasting geniuses, ....what is on the table for Oklahoma and North Texas in the next 10-14 days?? Throw me a bone!
  11. Amen! We hit 96 unglorious uncomfortable unacceptable sweltering degrees! I protest.
  12. No MSM on this – Wyoming landfill burying used windmill blades September 26, 2019 by Robert Felix More than 900 gigantic blades from just three wind farms to be buried in the Casper Regional Landfill. (I thought this was supposed to be ‘sustainable’ energy.) To save space, each blade is cut into three separate parts before transporting them, then stacked on each other to be buried. ___________________________ No need to look as they took the article and photo down. That's curious. https://www.wyomingnewsnow.tv/content/news/Casper-Regional-Landfill-begins-burying-5607077%2001.html?fbclid=IwAR3Zhi-jQUrmeAP4_USRboCNk4mAykBfHqAcT-a-Pa_wkG8hnxZGxelLoYg
  13. It's pretty amazing. There's hope at the end of next week as temps will dip into the 80's which will be closer to normal. We're at 73*. Heading to 96* Current humidity is 80%...yeah. DP 67* Total allergens 10.7 on a 12 scale. Good times y'all !
  14. Moving forward we’re still in record heat. By David Finfrock, NBC Met, Ft Worth Temperatures continue to run about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year. Highs will stay in the mid 90s for the remainder of the work week with heat indices at or even above 100. It appears we are still on track for the hottest September ever for DFW. There is a slight chance for scattered showers late Friday night into Saturday. But the best chance for rain will be north of DFW. Not all areas will get rain. It will remain unseasonably warm into the first week of October. But it does appear we will see our first real cold front of the season by next Thursday, dropping temperatures closer to seasonal norms.
  15. Sounds great, Janes. I’m looking forward to days like that. We have another week of heat.
  16. Freakin’ 99*. Sweltering. Two more days of it. Then mid 90’s A week from now we are supposed to get a break to mid to high 80’s.
  17. A little gnarly out there this morning. 76*. Partly Cloudy DP 71* Humidity. 84%. ..............woah!
  18. Holy Moly. They’re calling for mid 80’s Thursday week. It’s a long way off but I’ll take it! 92*. Windy. Scattered showers NW of DFW but moving NE
  19. 96*. Feels like 104*. Partly cloudy. DP 68* Humidity. 44% Same ol' same ol'
  20. Your success in storms is my hope. Eventually this will dip south with a strong NW push. Nina-dry winters are harder on us than dry summers. The land is used to dry summers, but a lack of rain in winter months in Okla/Tx is rough on livestock, spring crops, and our attitudes. I'm hoping to watch it start to slump south.
  21. The early Christmas stuff coming out reminds me of some neighbors that "celebrate" Christmas 12 months a year. Soon we'll have Easter Bunnys hanging from Christmas trees being frightened by Halloween ghosts. This just waters down the holiday and the meaning of it. Commercialism rules.
  22. 10 day outlook is mid to high 90's. Dry. Somebody give me some good news.
  23. Ditto! 99*...feels like 107* There's no joy in Suckville today!
  24. 99*.......feels like 107*. I mean, ...C'mon! Partly cloudy Humidity 38% DP 66* Somebody stick a fork in it.
