Not sure if the station down the road from me is a METAR station or private home station but it's currently reading 24F That's a bit surprising given how close I am to DT
It's pretty to look at but I don't put much stock into it. Aside from that I think I will do well here. I got 9.5" this past Feb here in W. Sea at my elevation which is 556ft
One thing I've noticed today is that a house across from us has a flat roof with standing water that froze overnight hasn't melted at all despite being in direct sunlight all day.
Ted Buehner has been there for some notable events. Hanukkah Eve Windstorm Inauguration Day Storm 1997 Tornado Outbreak 1996 Major snow event (right after Xmas) 1996 Major flooding event 1989 Snowstorm etc. etc.
Looking over twitter accounts locally is like listening to 13 y/o's debate foreign policy No substance interspersed with questionable data and talking points
This is depressing and all the more reason why living in a maritime climate and hoping for snow in a marginal setup is insanity and torture. How nice it would be to look at any run of nearly any model 5 days out and not have to worry whether or not it's going to snow. Interior Canada here we come.
