  1. Hilarious stuff This will show all the folks complaining non stop all weekend, like….well I can’t think of anyone actually. But keep the komedy gold koming!!
  2. Some very big improvements on tonight’s 00z runs.
  3. It’s been nice to see how much cooler highs have been there more south this weekend too.
  4. Looks like PDX barely avoided a 70 degree day today Only ended up having one 70 degree day with this stretch and it wasn’t even on a weekend day! Temps cooling off quickly on the west side this evening though with even some 40s showing up in Vernonia The next few days look much cooler with highs not even hitting 60 and now the latest 7-day only has two days peaking in the low 70s
  5. Hoping we can get some of our classic May/June ULL action this year. Those are good at bringing needed rainfall to both the east side and west side.
  6. Beautiful day here. Morning clouds and afternoon sun with puffy clouds. 67/47 spread so far, with a gusty and cooling NW wind developing in the afternoon and cutting temps off around 4pm. Lovely evening. Temps are dropping off fast already with a current temp of 54. May set a midnight low.
  7. They look about the same around here.
  8. That’s how it always is around here too. I’ve learned to add at least 3-5 degrees to every forecast high lately. Especially at the major record keeping stations. A day like yesterday where we actually underachieved most guidance is really rare and notable these days.
  9. Great band. I think they will be playing LIVE in Austin next month
  10. I bet all the dog pee makes that straw smell real ripe Andrew
  11. Gonna go out on a limb and assume the 12z Euro saw some improvements.
  12. Mostly cloudy this morning and 54 after a low of 47. Looks like a marine layer snuck in this morning and is banked up against the south WA Cascade foothills. Overall the weather this weekend has turned out a lot better than forecast so far.
  13. It was too bad the weather wasn’t a little more interesting for layover day in Denver last weekend. High clouds, WINDY, and mid-70s. Took the train from the airport to Downtown, grabbed some coffee and got a nice walk in along the South Platte River. First time exploring Denver really.
  14. Your good home slice. Anything is better than torching.
  15. Ended up with a 66/46 day here. Nice day but definitely ended up with more cloudiness than expected. Always nice when things break in a good way for once. The rain down south was good to see too. Hope we get a turn at it soon.
  16. Looks like only 68 at PDX today. Big underachievement!!
  17. 68, mostly cloudy and dry here… ….
  18. We’ve probably had a dozen or more iterations of this exact same discussion over the years and August keeps getting hotter. Jinx’s and superstition don’t do a lot to circumvent a rapidly warming region/planet, sadly
  19. This seems like an unnecessary and kind of no brainer side point. Introduced mainly to distract from/water down the veracity and significance of the original point in the name of “nuance” and “providing context”. Hi Flatiron!
  20. We’ll see if this year, with generally warm temps and plentiful 70s starting in mid March, follows a similar trend, or things flip back at some point before we embark on our true warm and dry season. Obviously the latter would be much better for our local ecology, wildfire concerns, etc. But these days, I never take a the return of a wet pattern for granted after late April.
  21. Exactly. And in many recent years, that warm and dry tendency has even bled into the latter half of April. Which was my point all along. Of course, monthly stats don’t always capture this. For example, a statistically cool and wet April like last year still had summer like conditions start in earnest the last week of the month, and after that we never really looked back.
  22. Radar is looking fairly active down the valley.
