  1. Yesterday set a number of record lows across Eastern Oregon. Ontario broke their record of 19 with a low of 9!
  2. 18z has some cold air bleeding in east of the Cascades in the mid-range.
  3. Looks like Baker City set a daily record and came 1 degree from tying the October record. It also appears La Grande shattered their monthly record.
  4. In Oregon it appears this will not be quite as cold with overnight lows than what October 2002 bottomed out at.
  5. Really wouldn't surprise me if some locations especially around PDX had their coldest lows tonight.
  6. Impressive temps east side. Burns 1 Baker City 3 La Grande 8 Hermiston 12 The Dalles 19 Redmond 6 Ontario 10 Seneca -3
  7. Got down to 26 here. Nothing historical, but my coldest October temp in the 9 years I've lived here.
  8. This is a legendary event in progress right now. Currently 9 degrees at Denver with light snow. -8 in Casper, WY. Unbelievable numbers to unpack here.
  9. 25/3 at Joseph, Oregon today. -10 departure at SLE today, -9 at PDX, -8 at EUG.
  10. 47 under sunny skies today at PDX. 50 at SLE. 41/28 here so far today. Wind was really cranking this morning Power went out a few times briefly according to my wife. Calm winds now and temp at 36. Probably mid-20s here tonight.
  11. Overall Tim I agree with your thoughts on the upcoming pattern
  12. Dewpoints now well below 0 across much of Eastern Oregon. Down to -13 at Burns. Aurora is checking in with a DP of 0 here in the Willamette Valley.
  13. Goodness, I wish we could do something about this constant torching!
  14. It is. What I like too, is even when the flow turns more zonal towards the end of the long range, it still stays pretty cold over much of Canada
  15. If Salem can decouple tonight I think they could have a shot at their monthly low. The dewpoint there is now down to 5.
  16. Often we see highs achieved a couple hours earlier than usual with such well mixed airmasses.
