    Yeah, this sucks. This morning we only got down to 42, which is actually average for the date (First night of the month that was not above average!), guess we'll have to do with a 20-25 degree below average high!

    Currently 44 with light rain. All-time September min/max at Silver Falls is 48, we might get close today or tomorrow.

    Had this been January, EUG would have been the big winner with the arctic front. Way more precip down there. Most other valley locations would have just had a dusting.

    Looks like only 4 times has snow accumulated at Gov't Camp in September since 1951, before today. Last time was 0.2" on 9/30/2009, so this is the earliest since 1984. All-time daily record is 3", so with this heavy band, they may have a shot at getting close to that.

    My buddy lives at Crooked River Ranch in Central Oregon about 2750'. He is seeing sticking snow this morning!

    Don't lump me in with them. Part of the draw of the hills to me is the 75-80" in annual precip. Even in 2013, one of the driest years on record, we had 53".

    Perhaps this winter will be better than 1985/86 . Lots of cool/cold snaps even before the big blast in November.

    Was weird, I was in downtown Portland last Thursday and it was 58 degrees on my car thermometer around 7pm. Looked at PDX obs and they were in the mid-60s.

    We avoided a big October cold snap. That would have been the winter cancel card.
