Salem had a midnight high of 38 today.

This snow has put me in a MUCH better mood! Now maybe Jesse will be able to stand me! If a solution like the 18z or a little further north were to verify I'd be a very happy camper!

I just measured. 2" of snow fell up here today! More snow than I got with the December blast.

Currently 31 here. Looks like at least an inch of snow fell today!!! Looking for my ruler to get an officially measurement!

Wow the 18z is great for snow at my location. Probably a few inches Thursday night if it verifies and big event for EUG and SLE. My friend works in Oregon City and just sent me a pic, there is a solid dusting there. The Silver Falls cam shows a little additional snowcover too.

Doubt we get out of the 30s today here in Salem...I didn't think it was going to be much colder than this today. The WRF was obviously overblown. It was spitting out highs of 22 at PDX.

Just in the last couple of minutes the snow has begun to stick here in Salem.

Looks like BLI has a shot at a sub-freezing high 28 at noon.

Light snow falling here in Salem, my car thermometer said 36.

My Dad says it has been snowing in Stayton all morning, snowing moderately there now. Looking at radar it looks like there is a fairly stationary shower right over them.

Early look ahead to March on the CFS says near normal temps and precip. I saw the EURO weeklies return the west coast ridge.

I called my brother tonight and talked about the recent model trend. We both kind of had the same thought. It sucks, but whatever. What is the difference between a high of 35 and a high of 30? So it won't be epic, and more like February 2011 temps, oh well. He admitted he tracked the December blast non-stop, but really hasn't paid much attention to this one. This winters borefest has lulled him to sleep.
