  1. Corvallis is just getting hammered right now.
  2. I have a feeling once the airmass starts to saturate we will also see the echoes start to explode inland.
  3. Albany/Corvallis is going to pick up a couple inches with this initial surge. But the models really dont give us the main precip for at least several hours.
  4. Oh my goodness. Newport has dropped to 23 degrees with moderate snow! Corvallis down to 19 with evaporative cooling!
  5. Snowing here and in Salem right now, but most of the snow will be south of Salem the next couple of hours.
  6. 25 degrees and snowing in Newport. Don't see that every day.
  7. It officially snowed 3.6" at PDX on 2-12-95. I have updated their top 5 to reflect this, that puts it in the #5 spot.
  8. Radar really filling in now south of Salem. No reports of snow at any hourly reporting station. It will probably take a couple hours for the airmass to saturate.
  9. Well February 12, 1995 is not a daily record...I don't know if PDX was still keeping snow data then. I will look.
  10. Top 5 February snowfalls by city (Period of record began) PDX (1941) 1.) February 19, 1993 6.1" 2.) February 12, 1990 5.2" 3.) February 2, 1949 5.0" 4.) February 18, 1949 4.1" 5.) February 12, 1995 3.6" SLE (1892) 1.) February 1, 1937 25.0" 2.) February 19, 1993 12.0" 3.) February 15, 1990 6.1" 4.) February 23, 1962 5.4" 5.) February 4, 1893 4.0"
  11. These are the NWS predicted storm totals through tonight...
  12. 4pm Saturday afternoon. -6C line just north of PDX, -3C line around SLE...Certainly no thaw yet.
  13. I don't know that the northern trend on the NAM is really sufficient enough to give someone from say Seattle much hope...
  14. Midnight temps PDX - 21 SLE - 23 EUG - 24 What do you all think for highs today?
  15. Newport is at 27 with E winds gusting to 36 mph.
  16. 06z NAM has the low off of Coos Bay at 10am. And Dewey said there is the potential the precip doesn't really make it past Wilsonville...I think it will, but I do agree the potential for that does exist. I think EUG to SLE is sitting in the best shape right now.
  17. I'm with Dewey, its much more likely to take a more southern track then a more northern track.
  18. That HRR also shows way less precip then any other model.

  21. I just heard the EURO gives EUG 7.4" through Saturday, with nothing less than 4" north to Longview.
  22. I would take the EURO though even though it gives me a bit less snow, gives more people snow! That said I'd go with the GFS/Canadian.
