  1. M Nel says the 12z GFS shows a Willamette Valley snow event...I wish.
  2. You are right in that this has been nothing like January 1985 which only had .50" up here. The valleys have been a bit drier in relation to average, at least down here... And of course this comes after a dry October, November, and December...
  3. I may end up with about 6" of rain, maybe 7" this month. Sounds like a lot, but average is about 10.5" for January.
  4. 0.48" of rain here today. Every little bit counts.
  5. At least we'll always have the early December arctic blast and Eugene's -10.
  6. Wow so far the 00z GFS isn't close to anything good.
  7. At hour 120 the GFS isn't going anywhere good...
  8. 23 degrees with freezing rain in Mobile, Al! http://www.srh.noaa.gov/mob/
  9. To bad we can't get a period of cold onshore flow ahead of the arctic front like we did in February 2011.
  10. That blast is sure looking dry right now, but a lot of time for that to change. The operational and ensembles are looking pretty good. 06z probably had the coldest mean yet.
  11. It does kind of go to hell after that...But...
  12. Looking at hour 192 it doesn't look like its going anywhere good...
  13. Zonal flow! http://models.weatherbell.com/eps/2014012700/noram/eps_m_z500a_c_noram_38.png Don't worry it doesn't last! http://models.weatherbell.com/eps/2014012700/noram/eps_m_z500a_c_noram_49.png And when February ends... http://models.weatherbell.com/eps/2014012700/noram/eps_m_z500a_c_noram_65.png
  14. Holy hell... http://models.weatherbell.com/eps/2014012700/noram/eps_m_z500a_c_noram_32.png
