Hoping for a southerly trend so the folks in Oregon can get in on the action. Gonna be wild to see how this actually plays out. Seems like every day I get up and the good stuff gets pushed back a day or so. At this point we could be looking at a Christmas Miracle or severe ice storm or nothing.

Tim how are your daffodils? Mine are just starting to pop up. If something good hits in January like everyone wants it's really going to crush my crocus. I thought the site got shut down a while back. I think they should charge $3 per month for access to this thread. Everything else on the site would be free but this monthly thread should be behind a pay wall. It's truly entertaining.

How is the timing looking on the arrival of the cold? Phone app yesterday morning had the valley getting colder Friday night/Saturday. Phone app in the afternoon yesterday then pushed it to Sunday. Now this morning it doesn't have it getting cold until maybe Monday/Tuesday. Delayed but not denied?

You don't see something like that too often. A thing of beauty and very encouraging for cold and snow fans. Gonna be an interesting ride up to Christmas.

They have exceeded my expectations this year. So for that I am happy. A playoff spot would be nice so the young guys can get an extra game of experience. Next year they will continue to improve.

There is lots of potential and the models change every day. That being said, there is plenty of cold air in the area and it wouldn't take much to drop the hammer on us.

Sadly with out a SE ridge I don't see this cold modeled on the European happening. It will mostly all slide east. Those ridges in the SE really are a driver that helps the cold push more south and not spread out to the east.

Starting to push towards 3" here in the valley. It wasn't a complete surprise as the moisture often times rolls further north that modeled.

1" now here in the valley Very impressed. I think NWS doesn't really pay attention to forecast much if it doesn't impact them in Seattle.

Should be a fun drive. It's coming down at a good clip now.

It's an incredible morning. If this is it for the winter I'm pretty happy on the snow front. Still want that arctic front to push through sometime this winter with bone chilling ice cold winds and bluebird sunshine.

I think I've got about 1/2" now.

Had a good burst of snow here in the valley to coat everything. Then came a couple of puffs of south wind. Freezing rain, hail or snizzle now. Such a fun winter so far.

Hopefully the DP's stay favorable for tomorrow. I would be happy if the moisture moved in a lot earlier. Here in the valley 12-3pm will likely be all rain.
