Not saying this will play out but here is part of today's discussion from GRR. THE ECMWF 00Z RUN IS SHOWING WIDESPREAD WIND GUSTS IN THE 50 TO 60 MPH RANGE MONDAY AFTERNOON. IT HAS NEAR HURRICANE FORCE WIND GUSTS OVER NORTHERN LAKE HURON. THE ECMWF 18Z ENSEMBLE MEAN SUPPORTS THE WIDESPREAD WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH MONDAY." If this plays out we would be looking a massive spring storm, more like a November type storm. Will have to look and see where the April 30th 1984 storm ended up being that would be one to look at.

There was a period of pea size hail yesterday afternoon that partly covered the ground. Then overnight there has been enough snow to cover the ground and the roof tops. At this time it is 32 here with that trace of snow on the ground.

I do not know about the news stations where you live but here in west Michigan a very conservative area with all of our local TV stations being also being conservative. Do NOT show all of the briefings and have not now for some time. As for CNN leading toward the left well that just balances out FOX that bends to the right. But that has been going on for as long as there has been a press. Years ago here in Michigan the two biggest news papers The Detroit News (right) and the Detroit Free Press (left) and they were that way until the so called merge and are now 2 papers under one ownership so they are now just one newspaper. Maybe FOX and CNN will merge and there will be NO difference between the two and what ever the government says with be what the news we will have. Of course we would not have a "free press" anymore but hey who needs a free press when we have the great leader. Remember Trump will not be the president for ever and there will be a day when the power will swing to the left.

That is true. And yes Trump is a politician. And he is out for more power and more money.

I have to wonder how Trump can hypnotize so many people.

I would not say that Trump is ruining my life any more then any Democrats are ruining your life. As for Trump's motivation, it is power and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ that is what motivates Donald J Trump.

Just had a period of hail here. The size is around pea size but there is enough of the hail to partly cover the ground.

It is now partly cloudy and 38 here at my house. I recorded 0.33" of rain yesterday.

There was just pea sized hail here but there was more rain as I recorded 0.67" and much of that fell in about 20 minutes or so. At this time it is clear here with a temperature of 44.

The storm it now to the SE of here. Did get some small pea size hail here with heavy rain. At this time there is a lot of dark cloulds with a lot of lightning to the SE of here. A very quick 0.61" of rain fall.

There is a lot of lightning to the SE of her at this time with a nice dry line.

Getting some lightning with moderate rain. Dark with just a little wind. Temperature is at 65

Far too many people have the idea that everything is right/left. Con/servative/ liberal. White/black. up/down. There is a song by Yes that has the lines "Don't surround yourself with yourself Move on back two squares" That is what way too many people have been doing, that is surrounding themselves with their self's and are closed minded to other ideas. There is no use in trying to change anyone's mind as it can not be done if their mind is closed. As they will only see and hear what they want to hear and see.

75 here now the DP is at 54 here and there are some thunderstorms to the west at this time.

With hazy sun the temperature is now up to 74 here. Also on the far northern side of the enhanced thunderstorm outlook. We shall see.

At this time it is cloudy and 61 here. There are reports of some sun just south of here. After tomorrow it looks to be on the cold side for the rest of this April. Not the way I like it I hope it is not too cold as I would like to get out and do my walk every day.

It is now cloudy and 49 here. There was some light rain but just 0.03" fell here so far.

It now sunny and 37 here. I have to wonder just how cold it is going to get after this week. Looks like a cold Easter weekend. So that means we could be stuck inside the house and not even want to go outside and work in the yard. I have to say I am getting tired or Netflix already.

This country is deeply divided, and one would think that a global crisis would ease that divide at this time that isn’t the case. In fact the divide is maybe deeper now then it was. In stead of leadership we have a finger pointer that is dividing state against state and lashes out at anyone who dares to disagree with him. While I respect the office of the president I have a hard time respecting the man. Business leaders and politicians and make no mistake Trump is politician have to earn respect. And for way too many people Trump has not earned that respect. And as for the so call fake news media. In this country the press is protected by the 1st amendment and remember without a solid 1st amendment there can not be a solid 2nd amendment. I know I am not going to change anyone’s mind and no one is going to change my mind so it is just a waste of time to try. Have a nice day and stay safe.

I know this really belongs in the complaint thread but that is now way too political for my taste. Anyway I really miss the baseball season. I have been a Tiger fan for a long time. My 1st game that I went too was in1957. And even thought the Tigers were not good then either they won that game in the bottom of the 10th inning when Charlie (Paw Paw) Maxwell hit a two run home run. I played little league baseball and of course I have been working the last 14 years out at the West Michigan Whitecaps. Of course I will not miss the cold games that we have here in April and that would have been the case later next week. At this time there are plans in the works that there may NOT be minor league baseball this season and even Major league baseball for 2020 is still uncertain.

I know you must be young, but even in the late 1960's Detroit had people walking and driving all over town. While the city has many abandoned areas (along with Flint and Saginaw) the metro area is still has a lot of people and thus traffic.
