Pretty nuts that bowerman field in hoqiuam is 33 and snow currently. The mid afternoon snows out on the coast today have been impressive. Gives me a little hope here if we can get some meaningful precipitation.

Yeah, besides some trace snowfalls in January and February we haven’t done so good this winter a few miles north either. We will just have to see how tonight goes.

Can we save the Minnesota global warming takes for after this interesting weather coming? There is lowland snow happening right meow.

Yeah, like you said a bit ago…I don’t see a ton of precipitation to the south yet. It is still pretty early though lots of time for that to change. I think if anything precip intensity will be the problem for not getting snow in south sound tonight.

Well hopefully the snow falling out on the coast bodes well for us later. It’s just been either too warm or too little precipitation to work with the past few days IMBY. Tonight seems like our last chance to string something together.

Oh yeah as long as I’ve been here he’s been this way. I was just using the late February/early March period last year as an example. I don’t mean my comment to be offensive to him…but he just ignores forecasting details that show things he doesn’t like. When you do that you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

Lol, yeah it sucks but it is what it is here. Some years just don’t perform. I think Jim’s willingness to ingnore unfavorable details and wishcasting kind of bites him in the a** and sets him up for disappointment. I love his optimism and enthusiasm for this stuff but it was the same thing last year this time as well. He constantly kept getting mad over marginal events not working out.

lol time is really running out here in Tacoma for measurable snowfall. My guess is we’re going to end this cold season without even a 1/4” of snow IMBY.

Yeah, unless we get 1/4” of snow somehow in the next couple nights this will be the first snowless winter IMBY since 2016 as well. We had dusting accumulation on 1/13 and 2/15 and that’s it.

lol yeah I was going to say some places out in kitsap were the big winners today.

Yeah right when I got there it was about 4”. Mostly melted by the time I left I’m back in Tacoma now. Totally epic the amount of snow they had up there was awesome!

@MR.SNOWMIZER about 20” or so at the top. Tons of trees leaning over. Most snow I’ve seen here personally.

A holy sh*t snow dump at 1400’ not even to the top yet and there’s about 16-18” of snow. About 4” at the bottom trailhead.

Yeah, been awhile since I been up there so I’m excited to go. Glad my girlfriends willing too lol.

Came down in big huge flakes for about 5 minutes and was starting to stick a bit bit let up. Getting lots of flakes in Bursts. More than what I was expecting here this morning and fun to see.

Going to have to go to the top on green mountain soon lol. Me and my girlfriend are packing up and getting ready to head out there

36 and light rain at times here. Looks like the best round of precip we’ve seen in awhile is making headway here if it indeed does hold together and makes it before 10am could be fun. The theme so far though has been for things to fall apart as it crosses the sound.

Precip is just too light to really bring the temp down effectively. Hopefully at some point tonight or Sunday night we get something a bit better to work with.

Mostly snow here at the moment. Wish we had a bit better precip rates to work with.
