LMFAO, this needs to be pinned so every time we watch a GFS, we can laugh -

I'm not talking about South winds, they would be East winds coming through the Gorge. Here is the 00Z EPS run. A lot of the members show 60+ mph but there is one that shows 81 mph. -

Hmm, looks like no one looked at the possibility of a major windstorm for my area -

Remember me saying about the possibility of a major windstorm because of where that low pressure system was setting up along the South West of Oregon and North California border? I have NEVER seen this type of wind gusts for the Troutdale area before. There are gusts over 80 mph this isn't Crown Point, it's Troutdale. If winds are gusting to 80 mph at Troutdale, just imagine how strong the gusts would be at Crown Point. If this verifies, this could be historic and wide spread damaging winds 🌬 -

If this verifies, I would see two days of negative low temperatures, then add the windchill factor and temperatures would probably be -20 degrees 🌬 -

According to this snow map, I'll have 15 inches of snow 🌨 -

Check out the gradient for the Gorge. This looks like a massive cold East wind event. Windchill factors could be below zero if this verifies 🌬 -

I agree. If the Euro looks the same, I'm thinking the GFS has something wrong. We'll see how the Euro looks tonight. -

This storm on Tuesday looks like it could be a widespread wind event. Need to keep an eye on this storm. It would be amazing if we got a windstorm then a snowstorm and a Arctic Outbreak all in one week 🌨 -

Having a good shower coming through but didn't look outside until the shower went bye. Looks like we had a rain and snow mix. Temperature is 37 degrees now. There's another heavy shower coming my way, I'm going to see if it snows this time when it hits me. -

Interesting because the 12Z Euro model has brought the cold air into my area sooner than the 00Z run. -

The low will fluctuate between now and then. If it moves a little North, big snowstorm for the Portland area with big East winds which could make it a blizzard. We are still to far out to know what will happen. -

Temperature and dewpoint has been falling ever since last night. Been having some heavy rain coming through. I'll do the splat test when I go to work. -

I know the 00Z GFS run isn't a good run but it's still a few days away for the GFS to switch (if it does). We need to see how the Euro model does tonight. I'll look at it in the morning. I work tomorrow so I'm off to bed. I think the GFS is going through a mood swing...lol. -

I just woke up and I feel like I'm still sleeping because I think I'm having a nightmare I can't believe what I'm seeing on the models. If anything, something major is going to happen, what...I don't know but I'm guessing some cold temperatures and snow, how much is still undetermined. I think we will know more by Monday if not by Wednesday. I just looked at the PNA, looks like this upcoming cold weather will last for awhile. There's a movie (which I can't remember what movie it is) that says, "it's time to buckle up" lol. Looks like we could be in for an extended period of cold weather 🌨 -

I need to go to bed but what an incredible GFS run. I know things probably will change but hopefully we can see some of what shows. This is what it could look like from the 00Z GFS. Have fun with the Euro model 🌨 -

This looks like December 2008. We had cold air coming in and overriding moisture from the South. Interesting 🌨 -
