Happy first day of May

Some of it is a hypothetical scenario, of course, but they really are trying to give free health care to illegal immigrants in California. Given the large number of people coming in, that's eventually going to clog up our medical system and cause very long waiting times. Regarding DEI however, think of it as affirmative action on steroids. Cliff Mass explains it well (and it's not some right-wing click bait article) Equality means "all men are created equal" as the Declaration of Independence says. It means treating people by their merits and qualifications or the content of their character, rather than trying to level the playing field, meet quotas, or give special benefits to disadvantaged groups. Of course in real life there will be privileged groups and unequal outcomes because humans are not perfect and tend to judge others by their appearance rather than their character. But trying to force equal outcomes between groups just causes more trouble. At a minimum, it would require the government to monitor the hiring decisions of every company and punish them if they reject someone due to racism or perceived racism. Now think of them doing this for doctors, who don't have the skills to succeed and are hired just to meet quotas. It was windy here too.

They are not that peaceful. Some students were chanting "we are Hamas". At Columbia University when asked to leave or face suspension or even expulsion/not graduating, they stayed and wrote they would rather burn down Columbia than leave. Last night they had riots and vandalized a building and the campus is now closed indefinitely. They also hung up INFITADA banners. The Queers for Palestine are idiotic beyond description. They support a regime that puts LGBT people to death.

Actually it's more likely due to equity and DEI that if I get cancer, my doctor's only credentials will be that she's an oppressed Black overweight lesbian who knows nothing about cancer, since to the left your score in the oppression Olympics is far more important than your education, experience or merit-based qualifications. Since I'm a heterosexual white male, I'd also be at the end of the queue, and the queue would be very long due to all of the illegal immigrants overwhelming the system with their free, prioritized health care.

Finally some nice weather but how long will it last with May 2 days away?

Why would I follow the advice of the "experts" who said to stay home as much as possible during the beginning of the pandemic until George Floyd happened and they said to go out and protest as much as possible because systemic racism is more deadly than the pandemic? Today's "experts" are those who are required to adhere to the group think of the elite or risk being fired, censored or humiliated. Back when America still used to be a free country no one was ever censored or cancelled for their political beliefs. The same "experts" tell me a man can become a woman, even though biology says that's not possible, and if you don't believe that you're a bigot and threat to "our democracy".

They got nearly 3 inches of rain from the thunderstorm.
