  1. Ya good point. Your right, it hasn’t amounted to much more than heavy drizzle, which if it was thunderstorm remnants, it would be large rogue sporadic drops. I will say though, summertime rain might be my favorite no matter what type.
  2. Was thinking the same thing but it’s coming down now fairly steady now. I had a faint hope that some of those storm remnants south and east would work it’s way here. Here’s a bad night photo looking east showing the wind and dark clouds now coming through.
  3. Watching the flashes of lightning or fireworks to the east and surprisingly just started raining here in Renton.
  4. Did a work golf event today and it was too hot for me. Still waiting for the cool down as it is still 87 here in Renton. Can’t wait for the cool down
  5. I like McCormick. Have played 2-3 times the past year. A lot of nice courses over those parts like trophy lake etc.
  6. Interesting several of the top ten records are back to back years.
  7. Not sure if we will be able to pull off the June daily precip record of 1.75” from 6/1/68. Would have to average over .10” an hour the rest of the day.
  8. Looks like monsoon season is going to kick off. Also looks like the southern midwest is going back to their drought days that were in 5-7 yrs ago.
  9. Haha yes I know that I was just surprised at how warm even during troughing periods. I have always thought of Maryland/DC as more in the northeast category rather than southern.
  10. @Phil: I can’t get over your signature and how consistently warmer you are over there than here. Our highs have been lower than your lows. I would take our weather over what I have been seeing consistently on your signature.
  11. The SEA station has really been missing out on the precip the last week or so especially today. Just a few miles north and places are well over an inch of rain and less than a mile south places are almost to 1/2” while SEA is sitting at .25”.
  12. Went up to our house remodel in north seattle to do some exterior cleanup and picked the wrong day. Pouring rain the whole time. Almost 1” on the day and cold. Pretty crazy.
  13. Yep pretty standard convergence. It’s 49 at 2:20pm here in seattle with heavy rain. Pretty impressive temp for memorial weekend.
  14. I was talking about 2013. SEA was 5” more than your location which was surprising being so close. It must have been a consistent storm track that year from the north.
  15. That’s interesting SEA was at 32.76” and not too far from you. There must a have a more common theme of a northerly storm track that put you more into the Olympic rain shadow and not as much southerly flow.
  16. 6 of the last 8 years have been over 40” of precip annually for SEA. In decades past it was typically 1-2 out of every 10 years would see over 40”.
  17. Seattle just needs another 1.5” to surpass our driest year on record (1952) so we can can get that worry out of the way…
  18. Funny I just drove through there and was thinking the same thing about the sky and scotchbroom. Did a hike this morning at little si and then went into work at Swedish Issaquah.
