  1. Just sitting here and it continues to re form. These setups are usually pretty good around here. NAM and Euro were on this early. Reports out in the country of 0 visibility. I don’t doubt it, we are on the edge of town, and at times you can barely see across the street when the gusts come. 6” report now from local law enforcement with snow continuing.
  2. Reports of 5” so far. Hard to tell with 50 mph gusts. 1/8 mile visibility. Band has sat over here for about 5 hours. May be a lull this afternoon, then another 1-3” wave coming up from the southwest. Great day to stay home with some great coffee.
  3. Temp has dropped from 58 to 35 in one hour. Nice.
  4. I think they are way too busy to fix it with all the weather happening now and tomorrow.
  5. Thunderstorm now. Pouring rain. Temp is now dropping. Mixed precipitation about 30 miles west. Should be a fun next 36 hours.
  6. No school here tomorrow. I don’t think much will be open in Central and Western Nebraska tomorrow.
  7. Update to Blizzard Warning, slight increases in amounts.
  8. I’ve skyrocketed to 57 degrees with a 50 dew. Severe storms this evening with hail possible, rain, freezing rain, sleet then snow overnight, to a blizzard. It’s why I love this part of the country.
  9. Well there it is. I’m now in a Blizzard Warning. I thought it might be coming. Looks like NWS Hastings follows the Euro and NAM models in a lot of their forecasts.
  10. Winter Storm Watch. Next county west is Blizzard Warning. Might get put in this later today, depending on models. Would be the 3rd blizzard this season. We can go several years without even one
  11. Yep. I’m either on the edge or will get drilled. It may be a difference of 15-20 miles. Still talking gusts to 55 mph.
  12. Very chilly for our prom tonight. My wife and I are high school teachers and we are helping sponsor. People standing outside watching the walkup all had winter coats, hats and gloves. Prom season in Nebraska, last years prom night here had 5” of snow.
  13. I’m on the edge of a Winter Storm Watch. NWS Hastings says they are monitoring the NAM and Euro that are showing the higher amounts through Central Nebraska. They said amounts may be increased in upcoming forecasts, and possible addition of more counties in watches or warnings are possible.
