@Cascadia_Wx For your sanity, don't look at the 12z
Eh...there is such a high chance it's wrong. It's easy to see why the model are all over the place by the middle of next week.

That would be super hard to pull off this early.

The Nina is starting to really show itself now. Also quite a profound -PDO.

ECMWF shows a nice clipper next week. I love those things!

Looks like the goofus is sticking to its goof guns. Post-2013 style double barrel heatwave incoming.
The 18z EPS was actually cooler than the 12z for the middle of next week. I say the GFS is smoking crack when it shows SEA hitting 95 in mid May.

Had a 74/39 day today. Looks like it probably won’t get below the mid 40s here tonight. Probably my last sub-40 low until fall.
I doubt that. We have a good shot at another low below 40 next week. The models are all over the place with that situation, but a chilly outcome has a decent chance of happening.

I'm a bit pissed off that Biden finally got his precious Ukraine aid package and then pulls the rug out from under Israel on that part of the bill. Not too hard to imagine he planned that all along. No way the House would have passed the legislation without the Israel piece. Biden is a scoundrel. No other way to put it.

Thats how far behind the GFS is in terms of skill...a day-old Euro run is just as good as the most recent GFS.
You mean the same ECMWF that showed a -1 PNA a week out last night and a -5 PNA for the same time on the 12z? The ECMWF has been terrible at times this season.

I'm mainly talking about how Trump's attorney got Stormy to admit that she hates Trump. I'm not sure how the jury is going to take that.
It should help him. Hate can skew how a person testifies about somebody.

Corrupt Judge Merchan should be thrown in a dungeon.
No doubt the case will be appealed if Trump is convicted. That's a huge if even with the trial being New York. This judge is a total clown.

What are you even talking about dude? "Totally drained"? Remind me again: Did he drain any part of the swamp over the four years he was in office? For every Liz Cheney there is a Tim Scott. For every Mitt Romney there is an Elise Stefanik.
Again, he didn't drain . He just kicked out whoever wasn't loyal to him and replaced them with sycophants. Last I checked, that's not draining the swamp. That's just re-filling it with even more swampy creatures.
You're so off the mark here. The people he threw out were sell outs.

General Mattis certainly turned into an incredible disappointment.
Yeah, she is overzealous, but it's interesting how the left and their media lapdogs employee extremely sexist tropes against her.
Trump always was and always has been a mascot. He's an avatar for working class rage. Him calling out the elites is more than we've ever had anyone stand up for us before. We know he's just one man, but he's willing to sacrifice his own comfort for us. He's given up everything to stand up for the working class, he isn't one of us, he didn't have to do that, but he did. So do I think he is ridiculous, of course, but at the same time I have to recognize he's the only person willing to stand up and fight for people like me.
Also I would add. The media is trying to scare us about how Trump would dismantle a number of federal agencies if he is elected. Sounds like draining the swamp to me. They say he has a plan to really do it this time, you believe every terrible thing you read or hear about Trump in the media, but you don't believe that?
Good points. He learned a lot in his first term that he will be able to use to create a plan to get what he wants this time. You are no doubt correct he could have just dropped all of this stuff and lived the rest of his life in peace but he didn't.
The bureaucracies shouldn't have been created in the first place so axing many of them is fine with me.

Unfortunately it’s been hard to pull off cold anomalies with full sun in recent summers. Maybe that changes this year?
We might see a bit of it. I think the most likely times would be June - early July, and then late August.
The summers of 2010 and 2011 had some decent periods and they were in a similar context to now.

I prefer Feb - April to Nov - Jan. Sure I love snow and the core of winter is when we’re most likely to get it. But it rarely happens, more often just gray. Starting in February the days start getting noticeably longer and the weather is more variable. Overall more enjoyable to me.
My issue is with gloom when the days are long. I just hate it for some reason. In the winter it's dark 2/3 of the time anyway.

It's pretty crazy when people like me think she is off the deep end...
I think she has good goals, but is just too impatient.

The GFS is hinting at another round of unseasonably cold weather. I feel bad rooting for that in a way, because of implications for the tornado ravaged parts of the country.

Ok, let me put it more plainly: In what way did Trump "drain the swamp"? Can you point to any specific actions he took that accomplished that goal?
One great thing he did is implement an executive order to cut two regulations for every one new regulation that was enacted. Kind of circumventing the swamp I guess. I did read one article about him taking an ax to one of the bureaucracies during his term. Can't remember which one or the details. Overall, I was just too frustrated with the stupid Republican House stabbing him in the back every chance they got.

Good. We need to focus on the end game here. MTG is just too impatient. I'm pretty sure the Republicans would lose their House majority if we go through another Speaker fiasco. I get her disgust with what is going on, but we need to be playing the long game.

Looks like they're basically going with what the GEFS shows. The 12z Euro is quite a bit cooler for the mid section of the country.
Not for the PNW, though.
I think week two is a toss up. We have had no problem coming up with chilly clippers and cold troughs this season so the ECMWF might be wrong.

Who cares about sunscreen when only 2.5% of your skin is exposed?
Up here that's kind of absurd as well. In the winter the sun is so weak it doesn't matter how much of it you get.
